  Description

  It is a spectacular place here, right under tons of Auroras, and with the benevolent rays of the Midnight Sun caressing the land during summer.
  
  And we are hosting a co-work gathering of a month this summer, should be fun, social and productive :-)
  
  We also have a registered culture NGO based there, aiming to develop, promote and enhance cultural collaborations and creative encounters.
  
  You may also come at other time periods, just that the summer kick - off (first one/start of all future collabs at the site), might be extra special :-)

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  We will have a variety of people, with different skills around, whom can share their capacities and learn from others at the same time
  
  We have lawos, a house, a barn, a garage, tents, a caravan, and people will also be bringing own tents, cars, and more, so there are many resources to share...
  
  We have boats available for use and recreation, and you may learn to steer and navigate a boat if you do not know this already. Canoeing and SUP also available, to learn, or just using our equipment, if you fancy. And if anyone would like to learn Kite-surfing or Wing-foiling, we could organize some lessons in this as well, and we have quite a lot of gear.
  
  .. this is all thought as a gathering of shared activities, plus we want to get to know each other and have fun together...we have a little sound system, quite a few different instruments, a lot of fire wood and places to burn it, and a 500 meter long beachline at the property :-) Bonfires, music and some good food and drinks all mixed together is often a super recipe for good times, we can follow that as well :-)
  
  By this first gathering we hope to lay the foundation for a community which will continue to grow, which will also be a community contributing to the local and regional communties!

  Help

  Getting the property in order, working and shaping the land, building simple structures, setting up lawos, organizing the people coming, cooking, child/youth care/activities (if many children/youth come), creating/planning/implementing shared activities and fun stuff, - the list is long, but not endless :-)
  
  We have bought this property, and there are a lot of things that needs to be cleaned up, moved, etc, to make it an even better place for collab projects, small festivals, etc. Getting the overview, working the land, moving things, cleaning up, will all be part of the work we share.
  
  There will be other friends coming also, apart from workaway folks, some with specific skills within building, carpentry, etc
  
  We will all work together, and organize "task forces", hehe...
  
  It is a great opportunity to learn from someone else something you do not know, and teach to someone else something you know, that they don't :-)

  Language and cultures are closely connected, and highly interesting also as separate entities :-) Your main host at An Arctic Dream has lived in 10 countries, travelled to almost a 100, and speaks 7 languages more or less fluently.

  Accommodation

  A variety of places to sleep are available, we will do our best to find something that suits you ! (more info also in previous description).
  
  There will be
  - rooms
  - tents
  - hammocks
  - lawos (big tents)
  - the barn
  - a large attic
  
  where it will be possible to sleep. We are working on the set up, the organization of all this already, but it is not yet done, so we do not have any very good photos to share as of now. If you are interested, please get in touch and share with us your wishes, and we will share with you the options that mostly match your desires, and send photos of those :-)
  
  This gathering will partly be a little like camping though, with quite a few people gathering together, with the big house and other facilities there as a "center". Some will sleep in the house, some in the barn, some in lawos, some in other buildings and tents, etc :-)
  
  We will have many shared meals, but it might not apply to all meals. We will provide ingredients and food for the Workawayers to make their own meals outside of the shared meals. Coffee and tea will be available, frequently small snacks, fruits, or similar as well :-)
