Description
This is a special opportunity for Contact Improvisation dancers only!
If you want to come and you never danced, take some classes, go to a Jam and talk with me afterwards :)
We host a friends CI Jam on the land every two weeks and have spontaneous sessions with people from the community.
Located at the outskirts of Monchique mountain range, 20 minutes drive from beautiful surf beaches and picturesque touristic towns, this is a non profit project focused on nature.
Here we:
- Grow food in a gentle and holistic way while improving the soil.
- Creating community spaces and hosting events and friends.
- Explore Contact Improvisation, meditation and somatic healing.
- Enjoying the peaceful life, the clean air and the shining stars.
We eat vegetarian, and we try to buy everything local, organic and fair trade.
The land is big and the work is mostly physical, I'm looking for fit, positive, independent people who like to spend two weeks in the calmness of nature and relaxed co existence.
It is recommended however to stay here with a car as there is just too much to do and see around :)

Gardening, planting, seeding, weeding, clearing, pruning, propagating, opening forest paths, collecting wild seeds. Carpentry, Art. Hosting, cleaning and organizing. Taking care of the dogs.

Accommodation
Right now we have a nice private caravan for a volunteer / couple by the river stream.
It has a little kitchen and a compost toilet not far away.
What else ...
The area is amazing for nature walks, surfing, dining out and mingling in Aljazur or Odeceixe. The land is 7 minutes drive from the main road, 10 to the bus station, and from 14 minutes to villages and towns. 18 minutes from the nearest beach.
We eat vegetarian on the land, you are welcome to eat meat and fish out.

I had a really good time with Siloë and Eloïse helping in the farm. They are both strong, competent, motivated, nice and funny. They were seeding, planting, weeding, collecting seeds, picking wild Agave by the castle in Aljezur and even carry some stones, they also took the dogs on walks and clean the animal sheds.
