    Description

If you have a learning mentality, enjoy working with the land and natural materials, preparing quality food, creating art and music, and having philosophical talks that lead to personal development and the abundance of our planet, come share your magic and creations to spice up this peaceful portal!

I’m Julia, a long-time volunteer managing an artist residency on an incredible piece of land. I host workshops and small retreats here on the property and spend the rest of my time writing music, creating art, sewing linen, gardening, meditating, making herbal medicine and cosmetics, and fostering the artists and spiritualists that come here to develop.

The house is on rolling hills, meadows and forest where you can walk in peace and enjoy beautiful views, birds chirping and harmonize with Mother Nature and appreciate the simplicity of the Bulgarian countryside way of life. We aim to create a safe space for those who need a break from the ever-increasingly confusing 'society', to create and express in an stress-free environment.

I like to have workawayers around for good company and to get projects done faster that are difficult to do by myself. I genuinely want volunteers to come share and enjoy the space for their own personal development, as well as add some of their essence to the projects here on the property, although I do appreciate strong workers who can sometimes help with manual labor.

We don't have WIFI here but the phone signal is good, and if you need the internet I can give you a hotspot. This is a great place to forget about the internet and the outside world. :)

2026 SUMMER (May-August): I am seeking female (or a couple) housesitters, ideally gardeners/spiritual practitioners/artists to share in the beautiful solitude and abundance of this incredible peace portal and keep the energy flowing and the garden watered while I am away. :)

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

You can learn any of the skills that I have from 15 years of free life, traveling the world and managing properties. You can learn about herbal medicine, foraging, gardening, meditation, singing, songwriting, food preparation, and most of all, how to embrace the abundant artistic life. You can benefit if you would like psychic and clean energetic space to explore your craft and/or deepen your spiritual practice. When we host small events and workshops, volunteers can participate in the preparation of those, and take part in them as well. :) I also have a close friend and neighbor who I visit regularly, a Bulgarian grandma, who enjoys openly sharing her culture and essence with my foreign visitors!

This is a non-for-profit residency for artists and spiritual practitioners and we prefer volunteers to manage their own essentials and economy.

You are welcome to come here to explore your craft, rest in a peaceful environment and utilize the materials and equipment that are available, and enjoy the atmosphere to create. Our exchange will be organized based on what you would like to share here, and if I currently need help when you would like to join. :)

Everyone keeps their own schedule for eating/sleeping/practicing, although I wake up early and meditate for at least an hour in the mornings. I encourage those who stay here to adapt to their personal needs.

I welcome those who love playing music and singing, telling jokes and living life as a theater, spiritual practitioners, chefs, photographers, film-makers, and artists of all kinds! I also appreciate those who wish for solitude to stay at the house alone, as I often travel for longer periods of time.

I have a lot of materials for creating beauty and art, so if you like to create with random materials, or sew, you are welcome to come create here. We have a workshop and a lot of recycled wood. There is always help needed with the garden and small projects.

I prefer volunteers who are good at taking care of themselves and being in their own energy, while able to respect the space and take pride in their own art, and in helping the property grow.

I love to share, laugh, cook, garden, forage for food and medicine in the wild, make music with others, stretch, walk, meditate, sew, relax and contemplate on the essences that give life meaning. :) This is a great place to participate in creative endeavors while being able to enjoy down time with the earth and appreciate nature and your own silence.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

Several private spaces for sleeping and two shared bathrooms. I keep a mostly vegan diet but you can cook anything you like, as residents have their own kitchen. There is always homemade whole grain sourdough bread for everyone when I am here. Sometimes we share meals, it just depends on what's going on around the property! I go to town every Tuesday for the farmer's market and shopping at the local supermarket.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

There is abundant outside space for relaxing, an electric piano, 2 guitars, a handpan drum, as well as some other small instruments. Musicians welcome! There is ample space for private meditation or yoga sessions, or whatever activity you need quiet and privacy for. We have plenty of yoga mats.
I can pick you up by car in the nearby village which is about 12 minute drive, and a 30-minute bus from Burgas. It's a quiet life here, but if you are eager to explore, you can find a bus to the sea easily, and hitch hike around or find a bus to many beautiful and fun places.
