Description
Come and join us at our new place in the heart of Portugal, right by the peaceful Dão River. We’ve just moved in an old Quinta and want to turn it into a co living paradise and meeting spot for good people. We are a three-generation family, living and working together. It’s calm and rural here, off-grid, close to nature, and perfect if you want to escape the noise and enjoy simple living.
Our place is all about slow living, learning by doing and enjoying the little things. We love sharing meals, laughs and good conversations.
We are looking for friendly, open-minded people who enjoy being part of daily family life.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
You will experience a simple, sustainable life close to nature and family. By helping with daily tasks, gardening, small and big DIY projects, cooking, cleaning and caring for our home, you can learn practical skills and see how off-grid living works in real life.
Help us make this Quinta run and learn things by doing. This is a place to create.
We enjoy learning from your culture, ideas and experiences. This sharing helps us all grow, understand different ways of life and build real connections.
You will be part of our daily family life, sharing time, meals and small moments together, and experiencing how it is to build a Quinta and a life in Portugal – close to nature, simple and meaningful
Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.

Help
There are different kinds of tasks:
• DIY & outdoor projects
Support with wood work, small building projects, repairs, and other tasks 🔨
• Green Thumb
Help and learn about gardening and forestmanagement around our land.
Plant, harvest, preserve, ferment and experiement with us! Little Steps to selfsufficency. Perfect for people who like to work with their hands.
• House & heart of the home
Help with housekeeping, cooking, cleaning, organizing, or spending time with our little one. Take care of our animals. We love people who enjoy creating a cozy, warm atmosphere. Be the good Soul✨
If you enjoy bits of everything, you fit perfectly in here! Allrounders welcome!
!Winter projects!
During this winter time we focus mainly on renovation projects. There is always something to build, fix or improve, so we are happy to welcome motivated and hands-on helpers.
We’re excited to see what skills and ideas you bring, and we look forward to learning together.
Of course, not everyone likes to do everything — and that’s totally fine. It’s a great place to grow, learn, and have fun together!

Accommodation
We offer simple and cozy places to stay, depending on season and length of stay.
You can sleep in a tent with shared bathroom and shower,
or in a small wooden hut with electricity, simple toilet and shared shower.
In winter or for longer stays, we have a small apartment with wood stove, kitchen and private bathroom.
Our heart is the big community kitchen and a seating and Chill area.
Simple life, close to nature, friendly atmosphere.
Enjoy living in the forest, directly at the river dao with a private beach – perfect to relax, swim and enjoy nature.
What else ...
A warm vegetarian lunch is included on work days. We also provide basic breakfast supplies for volunteers. We have big family meals, if not, volunteers get a small budget for dinner, plus fresh vegetables from the garden (depending on the season).
Please note, a car is very important to reach the Quinta — we are in a quiet, off-grid place. The closest town, Viseu, is about 25 minutes by car, and Porto Airport is about 1 hour 40 minutes away by car. The last 2 km to the Quinta is a dirt track, partly difficult to drive but not impossible.
If you don’t have a car, it will be harder to get here, but it can still work with some planning. There is a small shop like a mini market in the next village.
