Description
Update:
We are nature lovers living on an Organic, off-grid Quinta close to the historic, ancient village of Monsanto in central Portugal. We are looking for nature and dog loving couples (over 25) to help us maintain and care for our beautiful home and land full of trees, plants and nature. Our land is abundant with olive, oak and fruit trees plus 300 metres of private river with pure water for dips and swims. We are located close to many historic places and attractions, and less than 30 minutes to the Spanish border. If you are looking for unspoilt nature and peace, you will love it here!
We also have three dogs, Pear & Rain who are large Bull breeds, and little Hazel who is a 16 year young Podenco. The dogs are easy to care for as exercise themselves on the land (Rain & Pearl are great friends and love to play), and Hazel sleeps most of the time.
If this appeals to you, please get in touch. Wishes from Noah, Linda and doggies :-)

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Travellers will benefit and enjoy the wonderful ancient architecture and history of the region, including Monsanto which was voted the most Portuguese village in Portugal (It was also the town where ‘Heart of the Dragon’ and some of ‘Game of Thrones’ were filmed due to it’s ancient landscape). There are several organic/eco markets and a diverse population in the local neighbourhoods.

Help
We are looking for animal loving people who enjoy working outside in nature. We need a hand with weeding, land/house care, general maintenance, painting etc. We also travel from time to time so need people who are comfortable and experienced with looking after big dogs.
