Description
Family Help in the Gulf Islands. Our waterfront home serves as the perfect hub for an adventurous and relaxing remote island experience in beautiful British Columbia, Canada.
Explore the Gulf Islands in one of our Kayaks, picnic on the beach at the Provincial Park, or visit nearby Nanaimo which is just a 20 minute boat ride away. Nanaimo offers outdoor activities, cultural attractions, and a charming waterfront. It's known as "The Harbour City" and is one of Vancouver Island's most popular destinations. Other nearby Gulf Islands offer golf, restaurants, live music, tennis, wine/cider tasting, farmstands and markets, and are just a kayak away. -

Accommodation
A private cabin is beautifully furnished for you with Starlink internet. Linens and toiletries are provided.
We keep a panty/fridge in the main house stocked with food. Some things we like to make/have around are smoked meats, salads, sandwiches, fruit, yogurt, pasta, tacos, burgers, etc. We welcome eating dinners together but may do our own thing for breakfast/lunch.
Groceries are delivered to the island every Friday and requests can absolutely be made. Occasionally there will be opportunities to boat into town and to other islands. -
What else ...
We are an easygoing & active family of three. As our property is off-grid and remote, this situation is best suited for visitors who enjoy being in nature and can roll with things not always working as they should.
Family car is available for use. Available to guests are paddle boards, kayaks, convertible pool table, indoor/outdoor dining, Traeger smoker, cornhole, Starlink wifi, home gym/game room, garden, and 50+ books, games & puzzles.
Decourcy Island is a residential-only island; there are no stores or businesses on island. Decourcy Island is also host to Pirate's Cove Provincial Park.
Transportation options to/from the island include our private boat, water taxi, or seaplane via Gulf Island Seaplanes. You would have a full studio cabin to yourself. Please no pets. -

We would be lucky to welcome Konni back any time.
I really enjoyed spending time with their son, playing with him, taking care of him, and going on lots of adventures together in the forest. It was so much fun, and I made many great memories.
