Description
We have availability for a Workawayer to live with us from around 3.9. until around 16.11. Ideally one female traveller (at a time) who would like to be part of the family and help us with some light housework, the kids, the animals and in the garden.
We are a South African - German family living on the beautiful island of Mallorca, Spain. Our 2 daughters (age 9 and 4) were born in Spain and are raised speaking 4 languages.
We have traveled the world ourselves for over 15 years and have volunteered on farms, homesteads etc.
We would love to welcome a female traveller into our home, a beautiful, bright Finca with 5000 sqm of land.
We live at the foot of the mountains but equally close to Palma, an amazingly beautiful and lively city, and the sea. We have public transport nearby and also would do excursions together. There is many beautiful hikes in our area and our village lies in a beautiful green valley and has a big alternative community of people interested in yoga, permaculture etc.
Early 2021 we started our garden project. We have planted a lot, from fruit trees (passion fruit, kiwi, figs, kaki, pears, apples, peaches...), tomatoes and zucchini, aubergines, herbs and berries to melons and pumpkins... We really are interested to get into permaculture, have chickens and live off the grid fully. We basically just need solar power, then we are off the grid.
We have a dog, a cat and a few tortoises.
We are health conscious, mostly vegetarian, do yoga and love the outdoors.

We like to have a friend stay with us, rather than a stranger. We like to do stuff together, love having someone that actually wants to get involved and be part of our family finca, not just someone that wants to do the minimum hours and then does their own thing every minute they are off. We love friendly company and are happy to share the experience of this beautiful island with our guest.

Help
We welcome you into our home in exchange for help around the house, with the kids, the animals and in the garden. Initiative and good vibes needed. House work is easy, just the day to day stuff that everyone does at home anyway. We take turns cooking meals. Sometimes you would hang up or fold laundry. Sometimes you would water the garden, sweep the terrace, do some weeding or harvesting or help planting. The kids love to play in the garden, do arts and crafts, or jump on the trampoline. Nobody here ever has to babysit the kids alone, I am always around and never leave workawayers alone with the kids as I work from home. This is not a regular Au-pair position. You don't drive kids to school etc. This is Finca Life. As we all live and eat together, we would of course appreciate assistance with those day to day tasks such as cooking and dishes. We enjoy spending the evenings together, having dinner together, playing games, having a dance party... etc.

Even though she is only 18 years old, I have to say I am impressed how mature and grown up she is. She helped me with the girls (2 and 7), around the kitchen and usually cooked dinner for us.
