Description
We are a couple living on approx. 11/2 hectares overlooking the Pacific Ocean. We are 5 minutes from the township of Opotiki and ½ hours drive to Whakatane. A few minutes down a hill gets you to Waiotahe Beach which is safe for swimming and long walks.
Our property consists of gardens, flower, vegetable, shrubs and trees plus a plantation of native trees. Your accomodation consists of bedroom, living room, kitchen, bathroom, toilet. It is separate from the house but we would expect you would not feel separated as we would share meals and the other facilities of the house.
We need help in the garden weeding, raking up leaves ‘lots’ planting digging plus maybe other projects such as painting for example. We live in a lovely part of the country, it is very scenic with lovely walks along the coast and in the bush. If you like the outdoors, and living on the coast, sleeping and waking to the sound of the surf, I think you would like it here.

I think it would improve their English as I work a lot with them so they would get plenty of conversational practice. The more they involve themselves in the lives of us and our extended family the more fluent they would become. Other benefits would be the opportunity to live for a short time in a beautiful part of New Zealand

Adorable, funny and above all so endearing. We stayed at home for only a short week but we still could say it was our best workaway and it will definitely stay that way.
