 - Description- Professional couple living on a small island in SE Queensland with no shops but only 45 minutes from Brisbane. Our family live nearby and while we have had many revolutions of the sun, we are young at heart, active in the community and enjoy meeting new friends. Paul is retired. He enjoys reading, wood turning, movies and golf and is very involved in community organisations. Caroline is a teacher and enjoys craft, singing, games, gardening, cooking, dancing and parties. We are pretty relaxed and easy going.

 - Cultural exchange and learning opportunities- We have a history with international visitors both as hosts and in tourist ventures. We are open, friendly and happy to welcome visitors into the community and our day to day lives. 
 - Help- General maintenance, gardening, cleaning etc. If you have skills we will make the most of them but we are pretty relaxed about what needs doing.

 - Accommodation- Detached building includes beds, cupboards, television, privacy. Two Queen sized beds. Shared kitchen and bathroom in the main house. 
 Option 2 is a small bedroom with double bed in the main house.
 Very comfortable and beautiful surrounds.
 - What else ...- We are close to Brisbane, larger towns and other islands including Stradbroke. Walks, island hopping, kayaking, fishing, cycling (bikes available) and joining in with community events are some extra curricular activities Workaways might enjoy. Passenger ferries run regularly to and from the mainland (15 minutes travel) and also to other nearby islands. 
 If you are booking in advance, it is necessary for us if you would confirm your travel dates 4 weeks, 2 weeks and 1 week out. (Other Workaways have missed out due to no-shows). Thank you for understanding. We really are easy going - promise.
