Description
We live in a peaceful village 7 minutes by car from Coimbra. We love exercising and argentine tango. I am vegan, and my wife is vegetarian. We love healthy nutrition.
We are a bit introverts, a bit extroverts and we care about people.
Next to the house we have a little farm with sheep, chickens, and lots of trees (orange, apple, pear, etc.).
We love being around people who love nature and a simple life, and we don't relate so much with crazy-life-party-going people. In fact, you can watch Ed Sheeran's Beautiful People video on YouTube, and you will get an idea about us :-p
We are looking for long term Workawayers (1 month minimum) to help us:
1) Take care of the farm.
2) Cook healthy vegan meals.
Currently we are looking for people who can join sometime between 16 of June and 31 of August.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We live in the center of Portugal, in Antanhol, close to Coimbra, the country's vibrant student city. I am half Greek, half German, and my wife is Portuguese who grew up in France. In other words, we are a European-salad kind of family. We can take you to the train station closeby to explore the south and north of Portugal, or you can simply choose to lay back under the sun and take advantage of the swimming pool.
If you are into personal development, marketing, finding your life's purpose, getting a meaningful job, or creating your own company, a library with lots of books on those topics (English) is waiting for you.
Help
We would love to host someone who can:
1) Cook and house sit
(yummy vegan food, dishes, light housework)
2) Take care of daily farm work
(Things like: cutting grass, watering plants, repositioning water pipes, carrying wood, feeding chickens, helping a bit with sheep, aspiring swimming pool, etc.)

I was supposed to stay three weeks but it happened that I had to come back to lisbon once and that i had to reduce my stay to one week and half. They were super comprehensive and helped me with my displacements.

I have already lived with many different families abroad as an au-pair, exchange student, or residential tutor and I have to say that I had never felt so welcome and at home as I felt in Antanhol with Dimitris and his family. They are all very friendly,… read more
