    Description

Our project starts with the two of us, and will soon embrace a growing family of enthusiast people, engaged in many different regenerative activities.

We are Letizia (32) and Boy (27), two free spirits and Nature lovers, who've decided to contribute to a different way of living by recognizing how this society needs to be shaken from the fundaments.
We believe this can be possible by building and sharing knowledge on practices of daily living, that aim at regenerating the environment within and around us. Participating in regenerative practices can be the way for people to engage in realities of system change, toward the reflourishing of our world.

I, Letizia, Italian, have been working in diverse environments of the Food & Gastronomy sector for several years, across Europe. After that, I studied at the faculty of International Food & Agri-business in the Netherlands and I started nurturing a particular interest in all forms of regenerative practices around food production and consumption, starting from Fermentation and Local Herbalism.
Also, I've always been especially fascinated by holistic, ayurvedic, and oriental disciplines and philosophies, from which a lot of my inspiration in daily living comes.

I, Boy, Dutch, have been working as a cabinet maker in the Netherlands for six years, building knowledge around wood and general construction. After that, I studied Interior Architecture in Belgium, where I gained the skills to express my creativity fully.
When I started working with wood I developed interest in sustainable building, especially around the design and construction of tiny houses and communal living. In recent years this interest grew to include permaculture and outdoor mushroom cultivation.
I would like to integrate these passions among the practices of our Garden Project.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

You can practice with us Italian, Dutch, English and Spanish. We also speak a little German.
You can learn how to ferment foods and drinks, how to cook ayurvedic and healthy meals, enjoy the beautiful nature of our property and of the surrounding hills and mountains of the Piemonte region.
You can learn how to work the wood, and do some DIY projects and learn how to forage spontaneous medicinal herbs and plants.

We can organize trips together to surrounding cultural cities and towns. We will also engage in educational activities with kids as well as participation in local markets.
If you have the desire to travel the surrounding more, we can bring you to and pick you up from the closest train station (15min car). The town center of Roccaverano is 15min by car, and so is the medieval town of Mombaldone (it is classified as one of the most beautiful towns in Italy) . From here, bigger cities like: Torino, Milano, Genova, Asti, Savona (coast)… are reachable by train.

We're looking forward to grow together as family, even temporarily! Bring your smile :)

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

In the main house we have 3 floors, the basement is the (future) workshop.
On the main floor is a functioning kitchen, a little living room, 3 bedrooms, a little bathroom, a little storage room and Letizia's working room.
On the upper floor is an attic, a beautiful space that we would like to insulate in the future to create extra places to sleep or an atelier.

Since we've just moved in and the house has been empty for at least 10 years the facilities are very very basic. At this moment we're heating the house with wood stoves, but are working to fix the central heating. There is no running water yet, we're also working on this. Right now we get the water at the communal tap coming directly from the source in the little village of Roccaverano on 15 minutes driving. This means we don't have a real shower yet, however we do have shower bags that we also fill, so there's the possibility for a nice cold shower or warming up the water on the wood stove and then refill the bags. We do have electricity and there is good internet connection through 4g, at this moment we don't have wifi yet, but we can share our hotspot if you need it.

We provide 2 rooms to sleep in with either 2 single beds or 1 double bed. If you come alone you can have a private room, if you come with friends or as a couple there is the possibility to share as well. We have 1 bathroom that is shared with a composting toilet. And a communal kitchen where we can cook and share meals together (we don't eat meat).
We share our growing library with all sorts of interesting books!
We ourselves don’t eat breakfast, but the kitchen is open and we will share our food with you. For lunch and dinner you can either join us at the table or prepare your own!

    Space for parking camper vans

The terrain to get to the property is pretty steep, but the road is asphalt so it can be done even with a big campervan. We don't have beautiful spaces to park yet, but they can be parked on the road for now. There's no traffic since the road has collapsed right after our home.
