Description
We live in a traditional farmhouse nestled in the green hills of the Bologna countryside, surrounded by nature, woods and vineyards.
We are Eleonora and Giorgio, and we live here with our beautiful and incredibly affectionate pets.
We have seven cats and a dog (a Great Dane).
You’ll love this place because here you can experience nature at its most authentic, just 30 minutes from Bologna’s historic centre.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We’d be delighted to teach you the Italian language and cuisine;
we love cooking and eating well.
Help
We both work, so there may be times when we are both away for the whole day or even several days in a row.
We are looking for extremely reliable people to whom we can entrust our home and, above all, our pets.
The duties required will include keeping your own bedroom and bathroom clean and tidy;
keeping the shared areas clean and tidy;
feeding the pets and providing any necessary care;
help with gardening and outdoor maintenance;
we’d love to have a chat to improve our English and teach you Italian.

Accommodation
You will have a large double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom at your disposal.
We believe that mealtimes are a chance for families to come together; the volunteers share our home and help us with the housework and the animals, just as any other member of the family would.
So eating together is a key part of our routine.
On the days when we are away, the volunteers will have access to a pantry set aside for them, partly because getting supplies can be difficult if they don’t have their own transport.
What else ...
It is best to have your own car, as the nearest public transport is over 3 km away
