Hi, bonjour, i've been living in Banjaluka since 2003 and i really love Bosnia and Herzegovina. This year, because of Covid 19, and because i started a one year training, i m staying mostly in France. That's why i'm looking for serious and trustable people (i would say 2 people would be better) to take care of my house and my garden.
As i'm not home i can't provide anything else than what is already there.
You have to take care of your own food, which is quite cheap in Bosnia and Herzegovina. I'd also ask you to pay electricy you spend, which is also ridiculously cheap (about 5 euros a month)
You'll have plenty of free time, the only thing i'll ask you is to keep the house and the gardy tidy. Yu'll you have plenty of time to enjoy the surrounding area and activities.
It would be better if the volunteers can stay on a longer basis, from 1 to 3 months.
I chose that house because I love being in the nature, i do like rock climbing, cycling, slacklining, hiking.... i'm a real outdoor personn. i 've been hosting people through other websites for yeeeeears.
From this summer there is eventually water in the house, which is very enjoyable.
You have to be really careful about the toilet and absolutly not put anything else than toilet paper, if not it will flood.
About heating, there is a wood furnace, and wood is available all around the house.
Cooking is with a gas bottle.
There is no wifi at the house but a local sim card with data is really cheap and there is wifi at nearby cafes in the village, Karanovac.
Down the house there is a rafting club and its restaurant, which is a wonderful place to sit and to enjoy the river Vrbas. Food is excellent. 10min walking is the closest grocery shop, with all the basics (fruits, vegetables, fresh products) and there is also a cafe (with wifi) and a "cevapi" place (local burgers)
Banjaluka, the main city is 10km away, and the road to there is flat (it's easy to bike there but my bike was. Stolen)
There are city buses going by.
the nearest ATM is in Banjaluka and bigger supermarkets or specialised shops also.

as i'm not in bosnia and herzegovina now i, ll ask some friends to show you around and to give you some tips if needed about your stay .
There s a lot of climbing around here, rafting, great place for nature lovers .Help
If you like working in a garden or building wood structures (like a terrace, balcony or who knows, sauna or swedish bath) you're very welcome!!!
There is also a huge pine tree to cut down as it is dead now because of a disease)
Also i'd love to turn the steep garden into terraces. But if you can't do that, that's also ok :^)Languages spoken

What else ...
Bosnia is a pretty new climbing paradise thats growing every month, with more and more climbing routes everywhere.
The house is 3 kms away from Tijesno Kanjon, and 1,5 hrs away from Pecka Climbing Cliff.
Hitchhiking works well to move around also and people are very friendly. There is a rafting center in front of the house.
Also if you do practise highline or slackline, bring your gear, there are a few spots where u can put your highline around the house :)A little more information

there is a parking lot 3 min away from the house itself, but it's not the parking from the house, it is the parking from the rafting club down the river. Still, it's possible to park there.
