I spent a little over four weeks with Diana (and her lovely friends) in beautiful Powell River, helping out around the house and garden while having plenty of free time to explore the area that offers an abundance of outdoor and indoor activities.

Those roughly four weeks I spent with Dale, Chelsea and Ava in April, and their love craving dogs, went by way too fast. If I hadn’t made different arrangements for the following month, I would have asked to stay longer, enjoying the sunny, blooming North Okanagan and all it’s natural and cultural wonders.

Samuel was our first workaway for the 2026 season and set the bar high for others coming this year.

Hes a skilled landscaper, fruit tree pruner, comfortable operating a chainsaw, great cook, and overall a hard worker. He was easy to have around, communicated well, kept spaces clean, and enjoyed getting out to explore the local area.
