    Description

PLEASE NOTE: I do not have any vacancies for general labour or for people to learn new skills. Due to weather and winter setting in, I currently only have specific jobs to do.

I could possibly do with ongoing dog care for short periods if anyone lives local (ish) to me and could come for anything from a couple of nights to a couple of weeks on a fairly regular basis to allow me to travel for work and also to go to Spain where I am part of a dog rescue. I am not looking for anyone to come stay long term having now done this for most of the last year I would prefer people to just come for shorter stays for the work or dog care.

    -----------------------------------------------------------

I want to build my chicken coop/run, need some steps making down into the dog barn and there are two kitchens being brought over from my mum's house which I want to re-assemble between my utility room and the barn. And for anyone good at welding, I need some gates making longer to stop dogs getting under and some old rusty metal cutting off and replacing.

There is also loads of wood to chop and stack (need to be proficient with chain saw).

Happy to accommodate vegetarians but would prefer not vegan. I eat meat and will continue to do so but equally happy with mostly vegetarian meals. However, there will be meat in the fridge and freezer and my dogs eat a mostly raw diet of offal, meat and bones.

Own bedroom (double bed or can put single in there as well) and own bathroom. Own lounge if want it, although no Smart TV in there. Sorry its not possible to bring your own dog as my pack take careful management and some are very nervous and its not fair to bring an unknown dog into the household.

Could park up a small campervan (VW size) on drive but no space for anything bigger at the moment. Access to bathroom, internet etc.

On your door step you have amazing walks and are welcome to take a dog or two off for a walk.

Please let me know if you have specific skills, what jobs you could or would like to do, a bit about you, how long you would like to come for etc....

    -----------------------------------------------
If you live within an easy commute of Kendal and/or are willing to drive here for shorter stays, I could do with someone for dog care. My dogs are all rescues and a couple are fairly nervous so need them to get used to someone and for that person to be the main dog carer when I need to go away. It would suit someone either able to do gardening, carpentry work or general building/landscaping or who worked from home via internet so that you could come for anything from 2 or 3 days to a couple of weeks to care for the dogs (I have 7) so I can get away for work and dog rescue work. Or someone that just wanted a break in a different part of the country. Must be fairly flexible and able to commit to coming to look after dogs when needed (of course some notice would be given).

PLEASE DO NOT MESSAGE IF YOU HAVE NO INTENTION OF THEN REPLYING TO MY RESPONSE, EVEN IF IT IS TO SAY NO. I HAVE HAD A NUMBER OF PEOPLE SAY THEY WANT TO COME, ARRANGE THINGS AND THEN THEY JUST DON'T RESPOND OR TURN UP.

Have high speed fibre optic broadband although due to thick walls of house it does not always work brilliantly in all rooms and have extenders through out house. And your work must fit around dog care and work I want doing.

At moment can only accommodate a small van (VW size) to be parked on drive way. Could plug in to house electric so long as use not excessive. Access to bathroom in house, could share meals in house.
