 - Description- 2024 was all about assuring our water supply through the digging of the well, mushroom hunting, fixing up the cellar with a waterproof and root resistant roof, and setting up the garden for the spring of 2025.
2025 will be about reconstructing the back of the house, developing a good irrigation system for the garden and expanding gardening to the nearby areas, as well as hopefully digging for a small pond near the house. Lots of projects and looking forward to them all.
 A bit about us :
Two sisters owning a property from Punga, Buzau (in the Subcarpathians). It is a place focused on permaculture and diversity, with a meditative atmosphere. Projects include fixing the old house, the roof, repurposing the building behind the house, compost building, starting a small food forest/garden, fixing the rock wall. Internet not available, cel phone service spotty. A place where we reconnect to nature.
 - Types of help and learning opportunities- Gardening - DIY and building projects - Farmstay help - Creating/ Cooking family meals - Help around the house - General Maintenance
 - Cultural exchange and learning opportunities- The house and surrounding land are meant as a meditative space, where we learn to be at peace with nature and ourselves in an authentic Romanian setting. This is a place where people can unplug from the intensity of our current/demanding lives. We will have family meals, and work as a team on projects around the property (from organizing, to implementing food forest design, water distribution and harvesting, and natural building construction and repair). The atmosphere is one in which we all contribute at the pace that fits us best. Food provided is vegetarian, but we don't mind any food diet. I believe the best place gets created through continuous input of diversity (diverse ideas, diverse creations, diverse backgrounds), and by hosting people my intention is to bring the benefits of this diversity in this space. I am adaptable and appreciate many points of view.
 - Projects involving children- This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
 - Help- Help on personal projects rebuilding a home with natural materials. Implementing permaculture principles. Organizing and cleaning.
 - Languages- Languages spoken

 - Accommodation- We'll provide room/tent, kitchen, water, outside toilet, food (vegetarian, no other restrictions unless requested).
 - What else ...- Beautiful forest and hills nearby with attractions, the mud volcanoes about 30 minutes of driving, nearby town about 2 miles away.
 - A little more information - Internet access
 - Limited internet access
 - We have pets
 - We are smokers
 - Can host families

 - Can possibly accept pets- Dogs are probably fine if not aggressive. I also have two friendly dogs, but will need a bit of an introduction to other animals (I am not worried though). There are two large sheep herds around with their dogs, so will need to keep a watchful eye on the dog if walking around with no leash.
 - How many Workawayers can stay?- Two
 - My animals / pets
