Description
We are a family living on a beautiful island off the west coast of Canada: Galiano Island, BC. We are getting our property ready to sell and need help for 2-4 weeks. We have 12 acres including almost three that are fenced with orchards and gardens. There are beautiful beaches and hikes (and a pub!) within walking distance and we have a large bedroom or a trailer for you to sleep in, as well as a bathroom with shower in the house. We also have bikes available for independent transportation. We are currently seeking someone to help with any of these: yard clean-up, weeding, raised bed construction, moving boxes and furniture into storage. It is mostly Jovan in the house, as well as our two adult roomates. There is also the opportunity to visit Salt Spring for a few days as we have a rental there where Christina and the two kids (10 & 14) are busy with school, pets (dog, bunnies, fish) and sports etc.

We currently need help with any of the following: general yard clean-up such as removing invasives, clearing paths, weeding, removing dead shrubs, moving boxes and furniture into storage. Other jobs could be available depending on skills and experience.

Accommodation
Meals are generally self-serve and we will provide all groceries needed. Dinners are sometimes eaten as a group but not always - we will make sure you are well fed! You will either have a large bedroom on the ground floor or a large trailer to yourself in a private treed area and access to a bathroom with a shower in the house. Our property is large and there is plenty of space for privacy.
What else ...
There is a great live music scene on the island including public jams and various food venues, karaoke nights, open mic nights, house concerts etc. There are so many beautiful beaches and we all swim in the summer. Plenty of beautiful hikes including a trail leading out of our backyard up a small mountain with an amazing view of the Southern Gulf Islands. If you love nature, you will love it here. We have had plenty of volunteers over the years through wwoofing and the exchange worked really well.
