  Description

  We are Steve and Lesley and we have a business in and around Sarlat in the Dordogne, SW France. We have been established here since 2008.
  
  The business covers all aspects of Property Management. Key Holding, Housekeeping, Gardening, Swimming Pool Maintenance and anything in between. For us its a 7 day operation so we need helpers to lighten the load as we are not getting any younger!
  
  The work will be flexible and you will certainly have plenty of time to explore the area. The area is beautiful, filled with history back to Prehistoric times. The rivers are close by where you can cycle the paths and take a picnic or take the picnic with you when you hire a canoe. When it gets hot, the river beaches of the Dordogne and Vezere are great places to visit to cool off. Of course there are the markets and Villages to explore also.
  
  Our French is still patchy so if you can help with our language skills that would be great as part of the cultural exchange. Also we deal with a lot of Spanish visitors so help with that language would be useful too.

  We really want to help our Workawayers with their English language skills. Hopefully we can teach them or enhance their skills in other areas as Lesley and I have a broad knowledge.
  
  Our Location is a great place to be to explore the area. With some beautiful villages including Domme and of course Sarlat a few minutes away.

  Help

  We need helpers with a flexible mind set to help us with our busy life in Sarlat. They need to be reliable, neat and tidy, have a great attitude and be sociable. have a good eye for detail.
  
  Hours per day will be flexible but will always be within the criteria set on this platform.
  
  The help needed will not be too strenuous, light/physical but will need to be done to our requested standards, whichever task you maybe given for that particular day. Although being fit and healthy will definitely work in your favour.
  
  A good knowledge of how to conduct yourselves set around health and safety (Common Sense) would also stand you in good stead.
  
  The duties you maybe asked to help with include, Gardening, Housekeeping, Plumbing (Small repairs), General Maintenance and admin. We will try and mix these up depending on the requirements of the day to keep your exchange interesting and keep requests within your comfortable skill set.

  Accommodation

  Double accomadation is provided you will have your own privacy but using the facilities of our house . We would expect the workawayers to provide and cook their own food, but at least twice a week there would be an invitation to eat with us to learn of each groups experiences of the day and of the past week.

  What else ...

  Lets try to arrange a skype or Face time, or maybe a whats Ap chat before you arrive ..it a good point of introduction so you can also make up your mind if this is a suitable work away for you .
  
  We would like to say hello before you arrive.
  
  There is a train to Sarlat and I can pick you up . Or Gourdon is on the rail line from Toulouse -Paris or Souillac and then a local bus to sarlat . Or other close locations by arrangement are not a problem ...If you come in your own transport there is so much to discover ....
  
  Its would be an advantage to have some experience in the mention duties but if you willing we would be more than happy to help bring you up to speed.
  
  If you are not comfortable with the heat of the day (35 Deg), then you may have to think about a different location.
