We own and operate a seasonal campground that is open from May long weekend until October long weekend. The campground is situated along a river in the very scenic Shell River Valley. Just a few minutes away from the very popular Asessippi Ski Area & Resort and Lake of the Prairies which is one of the best Walleye fishing lakes in North America. We have electrical & non electrical campsites, group camping, log cabin rentals & 2 beach hut rentals. We also have weddings, family reunions, school reunions.
River tubing on the Shell River.
We have an 18 hole disc golf course which is called Asessippi National Disc Golf Course.
We rent out 2 guest houses daily in our neighboring town of Inglis, and a cabin called What a View Cottage rental along Lake of the Prairies.
We were both born and raised in the area. We were married in 1981. We had 2 boys who are now in their 30's. One of our boys lives in the town of Inglis and our other son lives in Stony Plain Alberta.
We farmed for 30 years and we had cattle and grain. We have since sold our cattle and we rent out our land. This gives us more time to run our campground in the summer and do some travelling in the winter months. We also run a mobile disc jockey business which we have owned and operated for 35 years. We also have been very involved with our community.
We love to meet new people. We are very positive and open minded. Up for any challenge.
We have great internet access.

Helping with Tourists
By coming to our area you would see the how scenic the area is! If you aren't from an english speaking country you would be totally immersed in the english language that would help improve your english. Learn about our history. Of course to meet the local people. Also to meet the people that come to our campground and to listen to their stories and find out where they come from.
We are currently running our campground and cabin rentals on our own but our business is growing and we would like to hold some special events. With all the daily work that is required we need some help. My wife Karen works full time and isn't always around to give me a hand. Some of the tasks that would be required would be grass cutting. cleaning cabins, guest houses, washrooms. Emptying and removing garbage, Sort recycling containers. Cleaning our house. Painting and general maintenance. We have a food booth at our campground so any cooking skills would be great. Working with our guests at the campground.
You would have your own camper and your own space that is located at our campground, our home where we access to internet is right above the campground.
On your time off you can go hiking, fishing, golfing. If you like horses we have friends that would be able to take you horse back riding. You can tour the Inglis Elevators National Historic Site. There are other places you can tour such as the Riding Mountain National Park.
