  Hi! Welcome to our old renovated farm, shared with my partner and 2 kids (born in 10/2021 and 12/2024).
  We live in a rural area, not far from a forest, and near a village that has basic shops. Nearest towns are Jodoigne, Wavre and Leuven.
  We have a big garden with fruit trees, berry bushes, veggie garden, pond, 4 sheep, ducks and cats. We manage it according to permaculture principles and to optimise biodiversity. But we are in great need for extra hands to help us manage all of this, and add to the existing beauty.
  
  ====== Hello! Bienvenue dans notre vieille ferme rénovée, partagée avec mon compagnon et mes 2 enfants (nés en 10/2021 et 12/2024).
  Nous sommes au milieu des champs, non loin d'un bois, près d'un village qui dispose de quelques commerces et à proximité de Jodoigne, Wavre et Leuven.
  Nous avons un grand jardin avec arbres fruitiers, petits fruits, potager, étang, moutons, poules et chats. Gestion avec les principes de permaculture et de respect du vivant. Nous avons grand besoin de mains supplémentaires pour entretenir tout ça, et ajouter de la beauté et de la biodiversité à cet espace.

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  We live in a rural area, not far from a forest, and near a village that has basic shops. Nearest towns are Jodoigne, Wavre and Leuven.
  We have a big garden with fruit trees, berry bushes, veggie garden, pond, sheep, chicken and cats. We manage it according to permaculture principles and to optimise biodiversity.
  Some of my interests, that i'd love to share is upcycling, sewing, puzzles, self development (i have a little collection of oracle decks), wild plants...

  Help

  We need help with the garden (some is just for the beauty of it, but we also have a big section of forest garden, with fruit trees, berries, and more). All kinds of seasonal tasks, depending on your personal interests and desires.
  There is also some tasks that can be done with prepping fire wood if you like that, and some finishing touches on the inside of the house.
  We will of course be together, and share all knowledge about wild plants, medicinal plants, gardening, preserving, etc.

  Accommodation

  We have a completely independent unit with a living area, 2 bedrooms, a shower and a toilet. One of the bedrooms is rented to a couple, the other one is for you. Shower and toilet will be shared between the couple and the workawayer(s). Meals will be happening with my family in our home. Downtime can be in our living space, or in your room, as you prefer.

  What else ...

  Beauvechain (french speaking) and Bierbeek (dutch speaking) are both very active villages, with lots happening culturally, and also a few shops, bakery, hairdressers, restaurants... There are buses connecting with Wavre and Leuven and Jodoigne to find more activities (cinema, sport clubs, even entertainment park Walibi...) And there is a bike available to get to the bus or to go to the surrounding villages (10minutes cycling to the village, 35 to Leuven, 40-45 to Jodoigne)

  Our sheep from ouessant. Different ages, different caracters, but all four are cute and funny ^^

  

  Ducks and chicken

  We let them free (and lock them in for safety during the night). Usually a few chicken, and for now 2 ducks who take care of our pond ^^

  

  Valy & Captain (4 years)

  Two brothers, adopted together. One is the easy going one, the other is more adventurous, and like to annoy his brother ^^ Photo is when they arrived in 2021

  

  Aria (12 years)

  Our oldest one, a lady that spends most of her time napping, and has quit jumping altogether. Let's say she retired ^^
