Hi, I'm Chris. I live at the end of the lane in a very old hill farm house surrounded by open heather moorland and hills.I work restoring old buildings, using traditional methods.I also like to make furniture, restore old vehicles, work in the woods and I also grow some vegetables and tend to the sheep and ponies.Where I live is fairly remote but not isolated, very beautiful, and has lovely spring water. The house has not been modernised so is quite basic by modern standards but can meet all your needs in comfort.I'm fairly self sufficient, resourceful, enquiring and independent.

Help in the house
Depending on the time of year and weather the main things I would be needing help with would include coppicing and preparation of firewood, looking after the animals-eight sheep and two ponies, maintaining and restoring the house and outbuildings, preparing and maintaining the vegetable garden and general outdoor work-trees hedges walls fences etc. There's also old vehicles that need some help too.
I'm looking for people who are cheerful, keen to learn, tidy, thoughtful and good company.
You could either stay in your own room in the house,or in a cabin in a field.I would provide three meals a day.
There's all the beauty of the surrounding land to explore and nearby towns of interest, including Hay which is called 'the Town of Books'.
