Description
We are a family of 6, we have four boys 12, 7, 5 and an infant. We homeschool our kids. Our house is our haven, the fresh air, open space, peacefulness, sounds of a babbling creek and tons of adventure. We strive to make the best decisions we can for our health, we are increasing our ability to grow our own food, we have chickens, ducks, goats and cows. We currently milk one of our goats. We hope to milk our cows in the future, we are primarily a vegetarian household. We hope to add bees to our farm soon. We are learning as we go and enjoy the adventure. We have a studio located underneath our home, it has a separate entrance, kitchen and bathroom. We have a shared laundry room for you use. The ceilings in this studio are low hanging, so anyone 6 feet and over will have a few beams to be cautious of.
We need help with various house projects, fencing, weed eating, carpentry for animal structure, installing gutters, ripping up carpet, you name it! We have numerous projects. Constantly learning about farming, cows, goats and also organic farming and setting up a nursery. If you have skills that fit any of these categories please message us. We are not able to train anyone in these areas so we are looking for those who are already experienced and can work independently.

I'm biased but I feel we live in the most magical place, The island has so many things to explore, so many different climate zones, black sand beaches, green sand beach, active volcano, hot springs, waterfalls and more. Our property is located in Hilo and it takes 15 minutes to get downtown. We have a creek at the end of our property it is so peaceful and you can hike up the creek to a waterfall and swimming hole. It's breathtaking.

What else ...
We are happy to have you tag along when we head into town but renting a car will give you the best experience. We have a car on Turo and if its available we can negotiate a good rate if you would like to rent or use occasionally.
