Hi traveller,
I'm Lyly and i am looking for one person helping me gardening and building a tiny house 1 hour away from the chaotic and busy citie. It is a quiet and peaceful place with a beautiful coffee/tea farm.
If you like nature, peace and quietness - this place is for you.

We have a coffee plantation ,a coffee shop and a garden with many plants to welcome people and taste a good coffee.
If you are planning to visit Vietnam and would like to spend some of your time with friendly local people, share our culture and enjoy the nature we would love to invite you to come here.

The traveller will be staying with my family and follow our way of living. He/she can practise vietnamese language if he/she wishes to learn, learn vietnamese cuisine, share with us stories about his/her own country, culture and learn more about vietnaamese history and culture.

We are looking for a traveller who can help us taking care of the plants, gardening and help me to fix the tiny house. We also expect someone willing to get a cultural experience here in Viet Nam, learn about our culture and also share her/his own culture and also language skills (any language is welcomed, it's interesting anyway)

I had the honour of being the first workawayer here. I'll start by saying that I was supposed to stay 2-3 weeks to help during 'Tet' holiday (Chinese New Year), and I ended up spending almost 2 months, because of how much I loved everything about this place!
Also, I usually choose places that already have at least a few feedbacks, but when I read… read more the description I had a positive 'gut feeling' about it, which I also felt when I received Lyly's (the host) lovely reply. I couldn't be more glad that I decided to follow my instinct...!
The coffee shop is located a good 60 km away from Dalat and from tourist tracks, there are no foreigners around and therefore everything feels really local and authentic.
Lyly's parents, sisters and other relatives are so nice and friendly, I got to meet most of them and they all treated me like family, despite the language barrier (only Lyly speaks English and she basically had to be my personal interpreter for the whole time I was there).
The work at the coffee shop, once I got around it, was quite straightforward. Lyly and Thi (the other girl working there) were both so patient and professional teaching me pretty much everything about the job. It would be an ideal place for anyone who is interested in learning about that field. The coffee shop itself is absolutely beautiful, with so many plants everywhere, nice chilled music and atmosphere.
Also, Lyly or Thi were always there taking care of the main things and I just had to help making some drinks, serving them sometimes, washing... and being stared at from most of the customers, haha.
In return for such simple tasks I had my own, simple but comfortable room, and I won't lie, after almost three months of travelling Asia and sleeping in dorms, huts and hostels sharing with up to almost 20 people at the same time - it felt like a total treat to have a space of my own.
I also ate with the family the most amazing meals. They're all excellent cooks! Luckily Lyly's mom is vegan so there was a lot of choice for me as well - another thing that hadn't been so easy for me in Vietnam until then.
The land around the house is peaceful and beautiful, there are places just a few minutes away where you can watch sunset or meditate. I helped Lyly's dad, for a couple of days to clean a small area where we then grew vegetables, and it was fun. Probably during other times of the year the work here could be more related to working in the coffee fields, so interesting for whoever wants to learn about that.
I basically chose to spend most of my time in Vietnam getting to know this lovely family and I don't regret one minute of it.
