  Please read my profile description carefully and if you have any further questions, feel free to ask.
  So far I used the site as volunteer, now I also registered as a host. I gained lot of happy memories as volunteer, now I want to share my home with others to build new connections, get new acquaintances and experience, getting to know different people/cultures while get some extra help around my house. I love arts, literature, theatre, travelling ("being on the road" in every aspects), cooking, reading, being with my friends, being in the nature, swimming, paddling, cycling. At present I live alone and am working remotely as a translator/proofreader, and also deliver poetrytherapy sessions online. I graduated previously as Cultural Manager and HR Councellor.
  I live in the middle of Hungary, in Pest county, 50 km far from Budapest, the Hungarian capital city. My place is between Dömsöd village and Ráckeve town, next to the Danube river (officially in Ráckeve, but actually closer to Dömsöd). My plot is almost 1400 sqm and I always have several projects around the house in which I need help.
  Therefore I am looking for hard-working, independent, mature (possibly 25+ years old), enthusiastic people with good manual skills, who are possibly good at DIY/gardening/maintenance. I would like to ask 4-5 hours/day, in exchange I can provide three meals on your workdays and an own guest room. Sometimes may occur that you need to do your own meal, if I would not have enough time. (On your days off, probably you need to take care of your own meals - although I have always ingredients in the pantry.) The bathroom is shared in the house.
  I have unlimited internet connection, so digital nomads are also welcome. Maximum stay 2 weeks.
  Plus info: since middle of November (2023) I have a cat, who are basically outside cat from spring to autumn. Occasionally she is in as well as out of the house (especially in winter). Her area strictly only the kitchen (this is the room you enter), she is not allowed to enter to the other rooms of the house.
  I am omnivorous, but I always try to eat healthy and organic food. If you are on a special diet, I will try take into account it (in the case of vegetarian meals), but in the cases of other diets (vegan, gluten and/or lactose free diets) you may have to take care of it yourself.
  I am also always open to your ideas and solutions in connection with the tasks around the house. :-)

  This is a pleasant natural setting by the river, ideal for hiking, cycling, rowing, swimming. The center of the closer village (Dömsöd) is 1.5 km (20 minutes by foot), Ráckeve town center is 8 km along the river. I can provide you a bike, which you can use in your free time. The area is in the nature but inspite of this, it is densely populated with many people living here from spring to autumn, and a growing number of permanent residents - so it is not really a remote location.
  The capital can be reached in an hour by public transport (by short distance train and by bus) and offers a wide range of cultural and leisure activities. You can find there many attractions, arts, music and cultural events, so you can spend your free time in a meaningful way. From the capital you can also take excursions to another part of the country, like Lake Balaton, the mountains or another bigger cities.
  My mother tongue is Hungarian, I speak English fluently and a bit understand French - but unfortunately not really speak. That's why it would be a plus if I could develop and practice my French with you. Naturally practice my English is also very welcome, and I am open to learn another languages (your language), too. In exchange I can teach you Hungarian if you want, but I warn you: this is one of the most difficult language in the world! :-D
  As I love cooking, I can teach you some recipes, too.

  Help

  I would need help mainly in the garden. general maintenance, DIY tasks and help around the house.
  They involve light or medium physical tasks sometimes with usage of garden hand tools (hoe, spade, rake) and electrical garden tools, such a lawnmover, hedge trimmer, etc. It is an advantage to be experienced and not a first-time user of these tools. If you have carpentry or handyman skills, that would be especially welcome. In addition some painting tasks outside may also occur.
  As I want to develop my own website as well, I also welcome help with SEO and other marketing guru ideas.

  Accommodation

  I have a kitchen with dining corner, a bathroom, a pantry and a living room on the downstairs, and two bedrooms upstairs. You will have your own guest room upstairs. The bathroom is shared, unfortunately I have no another in the house. Outside I have a terrace, a double plot with fireplace, trees, bushes. I have my own pier at the river, approx. 100 m from the house. I have wifi and 4-5 streaming possibilities (no television channels, only the online Rakuten TV). My home is a non-smoking one, but if you are a smoker, you can smoke outside.

  What else ...

  Ráckeve is a little town alongside the Danube river. Here you can find some shops, confectionery, restaurants, and the river market two times/week (Wednesday and Saturday). Dömsöd and Tass is a smaller village with some smaller shops, and they are also alongside the Danube. Dömsöd and Ráckeve have cultivated beaches. The natural environment is the main "attraction" here with fishermans all year round and beach people in summer, and there is not much choice in terms of entertainment (like crowded pubs and music venues or nightclubs). These amenities are in the capital which you can reach easily by bus or HÉV (short distance train) within an hour. Although, especially in the main season (from spring to autumn), there are different smaller programs here too (folk, music, gastronomic events).
