Looking for help...housekeeping, cleaning, general help..
We will be reviewing summer 2025 requests by April 1. Thank you all for your interest to come and help us.
We will need a helper for minimum 6 weeks to make the guest house run smoothly.
Come join us in the summer on the beautiful Island Lopud Croatia! We are a family that runs a small guest house, near a beach. Lopud is a great place for nature lovers, yet near historic town of Dubrovnik. Lush nature, clear blue skies, stars, pristine sea, perfect for anyone looking for a escape from city life. Lopud is a tiny island with abut 80 year round inhabitants. You will not need a car, it is all within walking distance and Dubrovnik is one hour away by local ferry which goes 4 times per day. You will meet travelers from all around the world.
Lopud is a quiet place mainly for self reflection and for nature lovers. In the summer Lopud is very lively during day time, while nights are very quiet.
HELP NEEDED:
We need help with cleaning, and general upkeep of the home, basically anything that needs to be done in a household. Only serious helpers needed, detailed oriented, with a positive attitude with guesthouse cleaning experience. Must be able to work independently, as well as in a team environment. 5 days a week, 4-5hrs per day.

You will have a chance to enjoy one of the most beautiful islands in Croatia, as well as explore the city of Dubrovnik and its surroundings, enjoy the beaches, people, culture, and meet many wonderful people that come to us year after year. You will have us as a valuable source of information and support on the island.

Help
We need help with cleaning each day, ideally a person who has an eye for detail and with quick detailed cleaning skills.
There is cleaning each day, and sometimes ironing/laundry, bringing goods from ferry.
Once here, we ask that it is workaway only, if you choose to find paid work elsewhere without work permit, we will not be able to host you any longer due to liability reasons.
In order to get paid please organize own work permits and all necessary paperwork in Croatia, and please get own health insurance prior to arrival and we will be happy to pay the minimum wage requirement for all hours worked. Sorry, we cannot do this for you, you will need to get informed about Croatian laws and permits in Dubrovnik or at a Croatian Embassy so that we can legally pay you.

Accommodation
Accommodation is a studio room, and sometimes shared with 2 persons max in a room if you arrive as a couple. Its is a tiny room so preferred would be one person. You will have a small studio with private shower and kitchen.
Sorry we cannot provide a computer or a laptop but we do have wifi.
We provide the food for breakfast and lunch.
Tap water is drinkable.
Please bring with you your favorite recipe so you can introduce us to your cousine at least once per week.
For lunch we cook local foods (which can involve some meat sometimes) which you will be invited to try, sometimes we cook and sometimes you. If you have special dietary needs please buy at the store next to the ferry in Dubrovnik as there is a much bigger variety than on Lopud Island and bring with you. If you are vegetarian, we encourage you to buy veg/fruits in Dubrovnik as Lopud is more limited.
What else ...
You can easily move around without a car, there are no cars on Lopud island and the ferry is 5 min walk from the house, so you can visit Dubrovnik and other islands for about 9 Euros. House is the center so you have everything nearby, and the nature trail actually starts in our street. Hikes are beautiful, we have a bike you can borrow, and there are kayaks to rent 5 min away. Nearest airport is DBV Dubrovnik, Tivat and Split..
You take ferry from Dubrovnik harbor to Lopud via Jadrolinija hr.
