Description
Hi everyone😄 I'm Stefano (37) I live in a farmhouse immersed in the woods at 750 m above sea level. in the company of two dogs and a few cats in northern Piedmont (Valchiusella) not far from the small village (15 min walk). I am a farmer and i love to cook, in the past I studied psychology but my life took a different direction and for some years I have been involved in agriculture based on organic and permaculture principles, my life plan is based on pursuing self-sufficiency,my heating source is the wood we produce in the forest and in the summer I mainly deal with the production of different varieties of vegetables which will be partly preserved and consumed during the winter. I have approximately 2 hectares of land; a cultivated part and the remaining wooded. I try to carry on a simple and healthy lifestyle in close contact with nature, trying to enhance the exchange with people and trying to be increasingly independent from an economic and social system in which I don't recognize myself, Valchiusella is full of initiatives and magical places to draw inspiration from. I will be happy to share these territories with you; immersing ourselves in the woods and bathing in the Chiusella river. I'm looking for people who are available and open in communication and with a desire to learn. Versatile and creative people with practical skills are welcome. To get there you have to reach the city of Ivrea (which is 30 minutes from our house) and then take a bus to the village closest to the house. (no bus on Sundays). We can arrange to come and pick you up at the station in Ivrea if needed. I'm sorry but there are 2 dogs and several cats and i cannot accept other animals

I knew I made the right decision in choosing Stefano amongst the dozens of Workaways I considered in Italy when I told him I would be arriving on a national holiday and therefore unable to arrive to his village by bus. Without hesitation he told me he could pick me up at the train station 30 minutes from his house,… read more
