    Description

->Unfortunately, we are temporarily on hold. Thanks for your interest and I hope to get back and be able to offer opportunities again soon.<-

We are a retired Dutch/American couple with gardens, pets and buildings in Portugal. We have varied interests that include food, gardening, scuba diving, our pets and travel. We are always happy to chat about our travels with you, and give you insights into our little corner of the world.

Our home is a short drive from a seaside town, an hour from Lisbon and nestled into the forested rural area near Cabo Espichel.

Prepping, planting and weeding gardens, mowing, stremming, cutting, splitting and stacking wood, small DIY-type projects on buildings and water collection, and a small amount of painting. The DIY may include repairs to existing wooden buildings or additions to those same buildings so the use of basic building hand tools is an advantage.

A few years ago, I built a shed for things like garden equipment and tools as well as to serve as garden furniture storage. Well, as that is not really happening and it has turned into a combination of messy storage, junk and cat home, we have decided to convert the space into a tiny accommodation for future workawayers. This means we need to empty the space, clean it up, insulate it, wire it, seal it up and well, basically make it a nice habitable spot with a small, camper-style kitchen, a composting toilet (which needs to be built) and an outdoor shower.
