    Description

Hi everyone! We are a family of 5, we are working on our house renewal and need some help with the last part which is organizing and tidying up everything. Ocasionally we will ask you other small tasks like gardening in our tiny garden, feeding our cute pets (cat and bird). We will be grateful if you can prepare some dish from your own country, or do some language exchange with us, we love to learn from new cultures. We have been renting one spare room with private bathroom during the last years, to students and young professionals from diverse countries like France, Germany, Switzerland, Bolivia, Czech Republic, Norway, and also a girl from China and a couple of guys from Germany via Couchsurfing, and it has been an amazing experience.

We enjoy the cultural exchange in all of its forms, wether it´s language, culture, food, etc. Our mother tongue is of course Spanish, and we all speak English mostly fluently. Ivanka also speaks a bit of French, Osvaldo as well some French, Italian and Arabic, our daughter Ignacia speaks a pretty good Korean, and Lucas has knowledge in Portuguese, German and Italian. All of us have a passion for music as well.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

The volunteer will have a private room with shared bathroom, TV, fan, heating, etc. Food will be provided, we can eat together everytime if you feel comfortable. We can pick you up to the closest Metro Station (Escuela Militar, Line 1 -red-), tho it's a walkable distance (10 minutes). Sometimes the room is not available but the volunteer can sleep in the sofa bed in the living room (it’s closed so there’s still privacy for the night time).

    What else ...

Our house is located in the neibourghood of Las Condes, in the safest area of the city. The closest Metro Station (Escuela Militar, Line 1 -red-), tho it's a walkable distance (10 minutes). There are several bus stops around also. From this metro station you can easily reach the center of the city in about 10-15 minutes, where most of the museums and atractions of Santiago are. Also you can reach trendy (and not so trendy) shopping centers like Parque Arauco, Open Kennedy, etc, or parks with lots of ammenities like Parque Araucano and Parque Bicentenario.
