  Description

  We are a small, family-run hostel with 7 rooms, located in Cerro Alegre, Valparaíso's most famous and touristy neighborhood. We offer a very quiet, family-friendly atmosphere, ideal for enjoying the city and feeling right at home.
  
  We require 15 hours per week, with a minimum of 2 days off during the week. Our hours are shorter than others because we don't offer breakfast or meals. What's included is a bed in a female dormitory, meaning we can only accommodate women. The room has 3 bunk beds. Laundry service and, of course, use of our house and facilities are also included. It's a family-run hostel that provides a peaceful space where you can exchange work hours for a bed. A 10-day minimum stay is required.
  
  In return, we primarily ask for help cleaning the house, bathrooms, rooms, and the house in general.
  
  Basic Spanish is necessary, as we are a Spanish-speaking hostel.

  Somos un hostal familiar pequeño, 7 habitaciones, ubicados en el bairro más famoso y turístico de Valparaíso, el cerro alegre. Somos muy tranquilos, ambiente familiar, ideal para disfrutar la ciudad y sentirse como en su casa.
  
  Pedimos 15 Horas la semana , con mínimo 2 días libres durante la semana. Pedimos pocas horas en relación a los demás porque no tenemos servicio de desayuno o comidas. Lo que va incluido es una cama en un dormitorio femenino, lo que solo nos posibilita recibir mujeres, la pieza tiene 3 camarotes.
  Lavandería y claro uso de nuestra casa y dependencias. Es un hostal con ambiente familiar que te proporciona un espacio tranquilo que puedas cambiar horas laborales por una cama. 10 días mínimo se requiere.
  
  A cambio pedimos sobretodo ayuda con el aseo de la casa, baños y habitaciones y la casa en general.
  
  Es necesario hablar el basico de español, ya que somos un hostal hispanohablante.

  You will find many funiculars, known as 'ascensores' throughout Valparaíso. These are a way for local people to be taken to and from their homes high up in the picturesque hillside neighborhoods. Some of the 'ascensores' where built as early as 1883. These are a must do when you visit the city as you will get to see some amazing views from them as you go up.
  
  Muelle Prat (Prat Wharf) can be found at the foot of the Plaza Sotomayor, the main square of Valparaíso. Muelle Prat is the only wharf where the public can closely watch the loading and unloading of the ships from a safe distance (if that's your type of thing). You will find a typical handicrafts market at this wharf and boat trips around the harbour can also be taken from here.
