    Description

    A perfect place to explore the magnificent East Kimberley, some of Australia's most spectacular landscapes. This 40 acre Permaculture farm and nature retreat is on the beautiful Ord River and 20km out of Kununurra town. We are growing our own organic food and creating sustainable Permaculture systems. From maintaining the food gardens, to bush regeneration there is always something to do here. The accommodation varies according to how busy we are - a lovely caravan nestled into the forest and surrounded by private gardens or 4m Bell Tent with a comfortable mattress. A communal camp kitchen and good facilities to share with other campers that might be staying. This is an outdoor enthusiasts paradise.

    We aren't always getting to the emails, mostly too busy having fun outdoors - so please bare with us if you don't hear back immediately.

    Kununurra is a remote town where there is a significant population of Aboriginal people living their ancient culture. There is the opportunity to experience this culture. The beautiful country here is very sacred and there are many sites and walks. ;

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

    Varies depending on how busy we are. Either a comfortable caravan nestled into the edge of the forest and surround by private gardens is lovely or a 4m Bell Tent with a comfortable mattress. There is a camp kitchen with lounge chairs dining tables and a fire under the stars for cooler evenings. Outdoor showers and flush toilets are part of the communal camp area. We sometimes do yoga early in the mornings before we start our work. There is sometimes a community of long stay residents and / or short stay guests who share the communal spaces. Kayaks at the river are perfect for watching the sunsets.

    Nearby are some spectacular hikes. From the pontoon on the river we go fishing and kayaking. Almost daily we head into town to run errands so shops are available if needed.
