Description
We are Truels and Susse. We have a daugther of 31 with Downs syndrom who regularly come home for weekend stays. And a son of 26 who passes by now and again...We both work as therapists with psychotherapy. I also work with equine(horse) assisted therapy together with the 7 horses living on our 20 acres. The horses are not ridden nor trained, I prefer the horses to react accordingly to themselves, not because they were trained. Clients come to our place for psycotherapy and equine assisted therapy. My wife also works away with supervision.
The horses are not kept in the stable but can go out and in as they please. 2 dogs live together with us; english mastiff, and english/french bulldog. 3 hens provide the daily eggs. Our place is in the slopes of Tuse Næs overlooking the fjord. It is the country side; quiet and pretty.
Since the place is rather big, I can't find the necessary time for the maintenance myself, and I find it vigorating and interesting to host for travellers.
We prefer two workawayers at the same time.
Tuse Næs, Toads peninsula, is stretching out into the Isefjord, 12 km from Holbæk and an hours drive from Copenhagen. With the bicycles we provide, you're able to visit the Chickens neck forest; a beautiful protected area with wildlife including ravens, sea eagles, seals, herons and much more. There's also several places to go swimming within bicycle reach.
On the peninsula there's a small supermarket providing most of what you need, as well as many farmshops with local produce. As guests you'll be staying in a separate part of the house, where we also have our clinic, with your own bath, kitchen and room.Types of help and learning opportunities

They helped out with some indoor painting and some outdoor chores too. They take the task seriously, so if you want… read more
We helped them mainly with painting, finishing a fence, cleaning and other smaller tasks.
They are an amazing family, very openmind, very sweet. We were so lucky to try Truels' delicious food (they even cooked vegan for us), we celebrate my birthday with… read more
