    Description

Welcome to a peaceful lakeside homestead on the shores of Arrow Lake in beautiful Burton, BC—surrounded by mountains, open sky, and incredible views.

My husband Alan and I share our small farm with sheep, dogs, and cats, along with an orchard and garden. Wildlife is part of daily life here, with deer, elk, and the occasional bear passing through.

We’re looking for a responsible person or couple to live on the property so that when we travel, you can care for the animals and help look after the land.

You’ll stay in a private one-bedroom coach house and enjoy a slower pace of life—gardening, exploring nearby trails, kayaking on the lake, or relaxing in the wood-fired hot tub overlooking the water.

In exchange, we ask for help with animal care, tending the garden and orchard, and general upkeep like mowing in summer or snow clearing in winter. This is a remote property, so having your own vehicle is essential.

This lifestyle tends to suit someone creative or independent—such as a writer, artist, or someone working remotely part-time—who appreciates quiet, nature, and a bit of self-sufficiency.

We ideally hope to find someone interested in a longer stay (around a year), so you can truly settle in and enjoy this special place.

We’re looking for a responsible person or couple to live on the property so that when we travel, you can care for the animals and help look after the land. We have 2 dogs, 2 cats and sheep. The dogs need daily walks Depending on the time of year we have between 9 and 20 sheep/lambs that are very easy to care for. - they love oats as treats but live on grass or hay in the winter

In exchange, we ask for help with animal care, tending the garden and orchard, and general upkeep like mowing in summer or snow clearing in winter. This is a remote property, so having your own vehicle is essential.
