    Description

I'm Diogo, I'm starting a project in Alqueva, a small countryside village in Portugal.
I work with Permaculture and regenerative approaches. I love to learn about new places and people and to travel.
Currently, I'm working as a facilitator and project manager for ERASMUS+ and would love to bring this to the village.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

I've traveled around Europe and a bit around the world so I have many stories to share from my travels.
I'm constantly hosting friends from Portugal and elsewhere so you will have the opportunity to meet locals and fellow travellers!
I'm passionate about cultures, languages, and people so I would love to share my knowledge of Portuguese culture, mainly traditional songs and dances!

  • Help

    Help

I ask for help around the field, building and repairing structures, planting trees, improving the living spaces, helping with daily tasks such as cooking and cleaning, and if you feel like it, creating activities for the local community.
The project is quite recent so I ask you to be open-minded and to communicate if something is not right, let's make it work!

    Accommodation

If you can bring your van we have some space and you can use the common kitchen and toilet.
You can also plant a tent outside or stay in our 4-bed dorm.
There is a house that you will be able to use for cooking, to work inside, to chill, etc...

  • What else ...

    What else ...

There is a bus from Lisbon to Alqueva, should be around 13€ and stops near my place.
Alqueva is a small village, mainly composed of older people. There is a beach 5 minutes away by car or 30 minutes walking. I'm still discovering this area so we can travel together around to places you find interesting or even some that I find around.
During your free time you can go to the Alqueva beach, walk around the village, interact with the locals, and use the space to create art.
