***we are looking for someone to start feb 2026***

We are a family of 4, our 2 children are both girls and aged 13 and 5. Alongside our kids we also have 2 pets, a cat and a dog called Magic and Elvis (I am a big Elvis fan).
We moved out of London a few years ago and relocated to a small village South of Bath called Monkton Combe and bought a big house that needed a whole renovation which took us about a year to do and is pretty much done - it is taking a bit of time to finish some final areas though which just need sorting. My husband goes up to London every week for work and I look after the kids/ house and pets when he is away.

The house we live in has a lovely Garden and is nestled away in an area of outstanding beauty where there are beautiful walks and wild swimming spots. It is very close to Bath and takes only 10 minutes to get into the town centre so it doesn't feel so cut off. I am currently studying Horticulture with the RHS (Royal Horticulture Society) and Herbal Medicine so am always doing new planting projects in the garden and making herbal tintures/ aromatherapy blends.

We run and manage creative studios in Frome which is a small but very vibrant market town about 20 minutes away. I predominantly run this site and my husband runs the other site in London which is significantly bigger. We are both active people and like to make most out of life, learning and growing. I came from a creative family and like to create, whether it is making a lovely environment to live or sewing/ art projects. I am always working on something!

We are a family of gamers and the youngest loves minecraft :) so at weekends we tend to put the playstation on and play together (especially if it is cold outside). The kids aren't allowed iPads of Playstation during school weeks so it is always a treat left for the weekend.

There is always so much to do and we are looking for someone to share our space with and help with things around the house and with the kids/ pets.

We live in a part of English countryside which benefits from beautiful views and walks, wild swimming and an abundance in flora and fauna - there are a lot of nature trails and outdoor learning in our local village which is on offer. We are a typical English family. We feel like we can offer our host a lot of knowledge and skills, from learning about management or horticulture and herbal medicine. Plus, there is an abundant of art supplies for those who like the more arty things.

We have a grand piano in the hallways which is our music room where you can find guitars/ ukuleles for anyone more musically minded. I used to play the guitar and now do piano lessons once a week. As a family, we love listening to music and have a record player in the hallways with lots of LPs.

As we are surrounded by nature and have a big garden, this position would be ideal for someone who is creative musically or arty and likes nature/ gardens. We are looking for someone to be part of the family, to live and integrate, to eat meals with and even relax and watch TV :). We are very easy going.

We are looking for someone who is tidy and organised, upbeat and friendly with a good sense of humour. As we are a social house, being good with people is a must. Someone who is kind/ patient and good with children and animals. Ideally they would like to cook or be up for helping to cook meals and to help with light housework, mainly keeping the communal areas in order which is a job in itself.

In extra time, there are many opportunities to take on a job in Bath/ in the local village. There are community projects and a myriad of courses. We have had many people stay with us over the years and we always encourage personal development and individualism. References available :)
