I had a wonderful experience working with this family for a month! They were incredibly welcoming and made me feel at home from the very beginning. Lou was an incredible cultural exchange who came into our house and really connected with all of us and touched our hearts.
She is hardworking, flexible, great with organisation and responds well to constructive criticism as only 18 years old but very mature for her age and full of fun for the children (big playful sister). From the minute she

My stay with Louise and Raymond was very nice! They are very kind and friendly. I would definitely recommend a stay with them!
We had a lovely experience with Carina and would recommend her to a family environment as she is training to be a teacher and brilliant with kids.
She has a calm nature, lots of empathy and excellent English skills as training as a teacher. We loved that she wanted to integrate with us as a family and share conversations. She was happy to be an

We have had such positive experiences with workaway girls in the past that are friends for life and always welcome to visit in London but this was a totally different experience. #redacted text# In her free time she would turn her back to you and just look on the phone, it was very awkward.

There was no team spirit and it felt like she treated our home like a hotel with expecting to be cooked for and not helping to tidy up afterwards or offer to help with preparing. She was unhappy to help with tasks that we had initially agreed. #redacted text#
She found another family and hopefully that worked out for her #redacted text#
On a positive I can say that she was really quick to pick up the tasks of getting the kids our the door for school with hair, pack lunches etc and her English is a good level #redacted text#.

At first, I was really excited to join this family. They were very nice and they made it seem like I could genuinely be like a big sister, as they claimed in their document. I was excited to be a part of their family.
Even though the post said I wouldn't get any monetary compensation for my work, the work environment seemed fair. The post claimed

Such as:
1. Doing physically tough housework for multiple hours per week.
2. Having to clean the parents bedroom and laundry.
3. Telling me to paint the house for one hour each week.
4. Locking the kitchen at night. So I wasn't able to drink water or have breakfast in the morning before having to start work.
5. Treating me like a live in maid and not like an AuPair (3/4 of the work was cleaning, 1/4 was childcare).
6. The in the post communicated hours I was supposed to work (4 to 5 hours) were barely acknowledged. I often needed to work more.
7. #redacted text#
8. After communicating my problems, I was met with passive aggressiveness and it was made impossible to find a compromise.
9. I was made to feel horrible for wanting to leave this toxic environment. They said that I needed to stay at least two more weeks or I was a horrible person for leaving them in a tough spot. Hypocritically, later on the same day I was pressured to move out immediately, leaving me basically homeless in a foreign country.
In conclusion, I was physically and emotionally exploited and I wouldn't wish this on anybody .You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

I had such a wonderful time staying with Louise and her family! I was with the family for nearly 6 months and built a strong bond with the children as well as Louise, and they welcomed me into the family with open arms. A wonderful, caring mother and father who truly care about their children. I really enjoyed my stay here as it was easy to bond with the children, parents, and become immersed in home life. I stayed with this lovely family for almost 4 months, and I really enjoyed my time with them a lot. The kids are all very lovely and affectionate children, each of them so creative and fun in their own unique way, i really enjoyed spending time with them and taking care of them a lot. When it was warm we played in the garden, playing football,

When it got a bit colder we spent a lot of our time in the big living room and in the kids bedrooms, colouring together (the kids are all very good at arts and crafts, its a joy), playing lego and board games. Additionally to the childcare i helped out in the kitchen in the mornings and evenings, making the kids packed lunches and cleaning up after dinner, and some other light housework, like helping with the washing. The weekends i had to myself, and i had plenty time to go into central London and explore, which I loved doing a lot. All in all my four months in London were absolutely amazing and am so grateful for it! Saying goodbye wasnt easy at all and im sure ill be visiting this lovely family when i get to!You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.
