  We are a small family with a big farm on a very beautiful island and we need help to harvest the olives from our olive trees in November.

  For those of you who want to get to know the history and culture of the island better, we strongly recommend the Archaeological Museum and the Korgialleneio Library. In the first, important archaeological finds from different regions of the island are exhibited, while in the library you will find a rare collection of books and manuscripts. The library also functions as a folklore museum with exhibits from daily life on the island in the past.
  
  Another notable point in Argostoli is the ancient city of Krani, which was one of the four most powerful cities of Kefalonia in ancient times. Among the ruins are parts of the ancient city's walls, known as the Cyclopean Walls because of their size. The De Bosset bridge is part of the recent history of Argostoli as it was built during the British occupation. It was named after the governor of Kefalonia De Bosset who served in the British Army. To date, a bridge connects Argostoli to the other side of the Koutavos Lagoon, but cars have been banned to avoid too much traffic and damage to the bridge.
  
  
  Für diejenigen unter Ihnen, die die Geschichte und Kultur der Insel besser kennenlernen möchten, empfehlen wir dringend das Archäologische Museum und die Korgialleneio-Bibliothek. Im ersten werden wichtige archäologische Funde aus verschiedenen Regionen der Insel ausgestellt, während Sie in der Bibliothek eine seltene Sammlung von Büchern und Manuskripten finden. Die Bibliothek fungiert auch als Volkskundemuseum mit Exponaten aus dem täglichen Leben der Insel in der Vergangenheit.
  
  Ein weiterer bemerkenswerter Punkt in Argostoli ist die antike Stadt Krani, die in der Antike eine der vier mächtigsten Städte Kefalonias war. Unter den Ruinen befinden sich Teile der Mauern der antiken Stadt, die aufgrund ihrer Größe als Zyklopenmauern bekannt sind. Die Brücke von De Bosset ist Teil der jüngeren Geschichte von Argostoli, da sie während der britischen Besatzung gebaut wurde. Es wurde nach dem Gouverneur von Kefalonia De Bosset benannt, der in der britischen Armee diente. Bis heute verbindet eine Brücke Argostoli mit der anderen Seite der Koutavos-Lagune, aber Autos wurden verboten, um zu viel Verkehr und Schäden an der Brücke zu vermeiden.
