2017 VISIONS - FOR LONG TERM VOLUNTEERS
    Community Based Eco Tourism

At the moment we are developing 3 different projects. The projects will be all about creating a connection between urban and rural life in Vietnam and will therefore be incorporating stays in both the city and on the countryside of Hué. Within the areas of farming, fishing and handy craft work our workawayers will be living and working side by side with the local families in the villages (located 10-70 km from our hostel).

The project is established with the aim of exchanging and sharing cultural differences. We want our workawayers to get a first hand experience of what climate changes mean to the village people and in exchange share your knowledge on how to improve the quality of life for the people as well as the natural resources that constitute as the foundation of their living.

Workawayers, who are interested in participating in our projects, will have to put aside at least 3 weeks in order to become fully integrated in the project and being able to make a difference for the people on the countryside.

We will be looking forward to hearing from you!

    Kindest regards,
    Andy

  • What else ...

    What else ...

Hue is well known for its historic monuments, which have earned it a place in UNESCO's World Heritage Sites. The seat of the Nguyen emperors was the Citadel, which occupies a large, walled area on the north side of the Perfume River. Inside the citadel was a forbidden city where only the emperors, concubines, and those close enough to them were granted access; the punishment for trespassing was death. Today, little of the forbidden city remains, though reconstruction efforts are in progress to maintain it as a historic tourist attraction.

Roughly along the Perfume River from Hué lie myriad other monuments, including the tombs of several emperors, including Minh Mạng, Khải Định, and Tự Đức. Also notable is the Thiên Mụ Pagoda, the largest pagoda in Hue and the official symbol of the city.
