We are a couple living in a peaceful village in Ayvacık with our 3 cats and 2 dogs. We run a ceramics workshop at home and a small specialty coffee shop in the next village. We’re looking for someone to join us in the studio for clay work, glazing and creative projects.

You’ll experience quiet village life, meet our friendly neighbors, visit our coffee shop, and enjoy local food culture. You’ll also learn pottery techniques, glazing, and the full process of creating handmade ceramics.
We often take short trips to Assos and nearby villages, and you’re welcome to join when possible.

  • Help

    Help

Our main need is help in our ceramics workshop, located in our garden. Tasks include preparing clay, assisting with simple production steps, helping with glazing days, organizing the studio, and supporting ongoing creative projects.
We also run a cozy coffee shop in the nearby village of Söğütlü, open every day except Wednesday–Thursday. Durul works there while I’m in the studio, so you’ll mainly be helping me with ceramics.

We love creating a warm working atmosphere. We will work side by side on ceramic tasks, share techniques, and enjoy a creative flow together. Whether you’re experienced or completely new to ceramics, we enjoy teaching and learning from each other. We value a relaxed, kind, and collaborative environment.

You’ll stay in our spare bedroom in the house. The room is simple but cozy, with a heated blanket for colder nights. We heat the house and the workshop with a wood stove.
We share our meals together, but you’re also free to cook in our kitchen if you prefer.
Our home is very animal-friendly — we live with 3 cats and 2 dogs — so you should feel comfortable around animals.
