    Description

This is a small ecological glamping (4 rooms) that we created with the aim of offering a peaceful and mindful hideaway to travellers. We are planting the seeds of change :)

About us? We are a family of 4 (Flo, from France; Niv, from Israel, Mia 10 y.o and Luca, 6 y.o) with our 4 lovely cats, 2 dogs and a flock of chickens who all enjoy the peaceful life of the Alentejo.

We enjoy nature, great food, music, yoga and good vibes. We have a beautiful land in the wild Alentejo, still less than 30 minutes from beautiful untouched beaches.
We are currently designing our land according to permaculture principles as the region is going through a severe drought. That means the creation of water management system (ponds, etc.) as well as planting trees...
Water is very scared and so we are very careful with how much water we consume, and teach our guests to be mindful as well.
Around our village are several other farms, with like-minded people. There is a true sense of community around here and there is a good connection between the locals and the 'foreigners' who settled here.
Plenty of markets, workshops and happenings create the rhythm of the region. It is as many opportunities to enjoy social life, before coming back home, to our quiet piece of paradise.

    We offer:
    - a friendly work environment and a cozy and welcoming atmosphere
    - a thorough training
    - an independent position
    - a beautiful workplace located in nature, 10 min. from a small town and 20 min from the pristine beaches of South Alentejo

We'd be happy to learn about you and your culture, and share about ours. Our lives have been filled with experiences and travels, there are many stories to be shared with who is open to listen.
We had several workawayers in the past and we love to share with them a good dinner or a tea around the fire at night.
I'd love to learn new recipes from other parts of the world, as I really love cooking. Of course, I am fully open to teach you some of my favourite French, Indian or Israeli recipes, with the local vocabulary that comes with it ;)

Regarding the job, you will learn how to take care and manage a small glamping. I believe it is a great experience in hospitality management with a high concern in sustainability.

We are looking for an outgoing, friendly, and service-minded person, for the housekeeping and breakfast kitchen assistant.
A couple or 2 friends is even a better option as we can not be all the time with our helpers, we like to keep our private family time with our kids. :)
Note though that there is not work for 2 'full time' person but if you look for work, you might be able to complete your working hours in nearby lodgings as well.

    Main tasks:

    - cleaning guests' rooms, bathrooms, etc.
    - preparing the breakfast buffet & making coffees on demand (breakfast time)
    - handling linen depots and keeping things in order
    - assisting in the kitchen for dinners
    - other various tasks on pizza days (Saturday)
    - feeding the animals (cats, dogs, chickens) when we are not on the land

The season runs from June until the end of September and we are really looking for someone reliable who can take care of the whole place when we are away (if we need to go elsewhere).

In exchange for the work we will provide free accommodation plus a hourly monetary payment superior to the minimum local wage, as well as 2 days off per week (one if you decide to work more, as we do not work full days, but that is totally up to you).

Driving licence is a must, a car is a plus.
