We are a little family, Joan (36), Sjúrður (36) and Magne (7), who run agrotourism at our farm, Við Rangá 18. Our farm is located in Trongisvágur, Suðuroy.

We live among our animals on a farm which was built in 1931 by the former prime minister of the Faroe Islands, Kristian Djurhuus.

    Nala, our dog.
    Bjarni our cat.
    10 sheep.
    5 muskus ducks.
    30 hens.
2 guinea pigs, Sofía and Frísa.

    Líggjas, our Faroese horse.
    Prins, our Islandic horse.

    Help

We expect you to make dinner and do household chores. Note, that we are producing some off our own vegetables and meat and you need to be able to cook non-vegetarian food.

You will assist with feeding the animal. During the summer, most of the animals are outside and only a few require extra feeding. However, we need help with gardening during this season, which includes tasks such as mowing the grass, tending to the plants in our greenhouse, fixing paths, planting trees, painting and more. It is a good if you know how to use work tools like a drill and hammer. And you are handy.

In the winter the horses are Inside, so you need to much and give them Hay.

Our house is an ongoing renovation project, and we expect you to be of assistance here.

Some days you will take Magne to school and pick him up again.

You should preferably have a driver's licence.

If you have experience with handling and driving horses, you can use our horse, Líggjas, for going on drives.

You will help approx. 25 hours per week.

Workawayers won't be helping with any business-related activities at our farm and will only be helping with our private home and garden.
