  • Description

    Description

We are a family of six, consisting of two adults and four children.
We live in a quiet residential area surrounded by beautiful nature reserves, close to both Lund and Malmö in southern Sweden.
We are currently working on a few ongoing home improvement projects. One is moving an old sunroom and transforming it into a greenhouse in another part of the garden. Another is preparing an extension to our home that will eventually become a yoga studio. We are also renovating a guest area with a kitchenette, laundry room and bathroom.

We are looking for someone who enjoys being active, helpful, and part of a family environment where many small tasks happen every day.
We value people who are reliable, open-minded, willing to learn, and comfortable helping out where needed.
We cook mostly Indian vegetarian food, bake our own sourdough bread, and grow vegetables in a large kitchen garden (approx. 200 m²). We enjoy sharing meals and everyday life with the people who stay with us.
One of the hosts is a yoga teacher and may share yoga knowledge or practice informally if there is interest, but we do not offer formal classes at the moment since the yoga studio is not done.
We look forward to welcoming someone who would like to share family life with us while contributing to daily routines, our garden, and ongoing home improvement projects.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Staying with us offers the chance to experience everyday life in a Swedish family home close to both nature and two larger cities (Lund and Malmö).
We are a family with an interest in simple living, gardening, homegrown food, cooking, yoga, and spending time outdoors. Guests can learn about growing vegetables in our garden, baking sourdough bread, and preparing homemade vegetarian meals.
In return, we enjoy learning about different cultures, languages, and perspectives from the people who stay with us. We value shared meals, conversations, and a relaxed, respectful atmosphere where everyone contributes in their own way.
One of the hosts is a yoga teacher and may share informal yoga practice or knowledge if there is interest, but this is not a structured course.
We aim for a genuine cultural exchange where both hosts and travellers feel part of daily life.

  • Help

    Help

We welcome someone who would like to be part of our everyday family life and help with a variety of practical, non-specialised tasks around the house and garden.
We are currently in a period of change and ongoing home improvement projects. During a typical day, help may include things like painting, gardening, weeding, watering plants, organising spaces, cleaning, tidying shared areas, preparing rooms, carrying light materials, and general support with keeping things running smoothly in a busy family household.
There are always small and varied tasks depending on the season and what we are working on, so flexibility and a positive attitude are more important to us than any specific experience.
We are not looking for professional trades or specialised technical work, but rather someone who enjoys being active, learning by doing, and contributing to a shared home environment.

    Accommodation

We offer a private room with a separate entrance in a guest area of our home. This space is currently being improved as part of our ongoing home projects.
The bathroom in this area is still under renovation, so for now the shower and toilet are shared with the rest of the family.
We aim to provide a comfortable and welcoming environment and include our guests in family meals and daily life.
