    Description

We are a family of 4. Ashley(father) runs a few businesses, and the farm. Sarah(mother) is an attorney. Jemimah(13 years old) passionate about horses and hockey. Georgina(11 years old) loves being active, and dancing. We love having fun. Ashley and the girls all enjoy horse riding and playing polo. Our lodge is a boutique style hotel which sleeps 24 - it has a restaurant and bar and is located on our family farm, which has much wildlife. The farm neighbours a game reserve with Rhino, Zebra and Giraffe and a large lake which offers water sports. Our family and guests spend a lot of time here enjoying the wildlife, boating and water-skiing. Although we live in a rural area, we have a tight knit and sociable community and there is much opportunity to meet people and make friends. Suitable to an active/ outdoors person. On the farm and lodge we employ 20 local employees, which range from management to handymen. Under no circumstance, is a Workawayer here to replace a staff member, only to experience our diverse property. We would be looking for someone to help with the horses, and farm work, it is important that you are a competent horse rider, and a knowledge of polo would be an advantage.

Our Farm/ Lodge is situated in the Central Drakensberg of KZN South Africa. This area has a diverse culture, as well as a variety of activities. We also contribute via charity to a rural School which neighbours our property, and the Workawayer is encouraged to interact here. The lodge also offers battle field tours, as we are close to the battlefields, and game drives. We have a variety of cultures right here on the farm, with the differnt families living on the farm, for example, traditional Zulu homesteads and rural living.

We are a polo playing family, and therefore if the Workawayer is a competent horse rider, and able to assist with the horses, this would be an advantage. Suitable to active/ outdoors person.
