Description
We, Waldo and Eliane, work together to create our cultural and playful dynamic eco-resort on the one hectare site of a former farm. There is still some work to be done so that small-scale group activities and workshops can be held in the future. We prefer to work with sustainable building materials such as clay and hemp and also many recycled items. You can also help in the organic vegetable garden or help plant and care for the food forest that we are creating. We want to work towards a formula of Stuward ownership, so that the cultural eco-resort that we will one day leave behind can be our own property and remains available for future generations who want to make appropriate use of it and care for it in the future.
Waldo's talent is in particular architecture and building, my focus and expertise is, among other things, sociocratic consultation and connecting communication. Furthermore, we are both actually at home in many markets due to our rich life experience with construction projects and social or cultural projects. Everyone who comes to stay with us and work with us can use their own talents, and according to their own needs, gain experience, learn from each other and from what we have to offer. Because we feel comfortable with a lifestyle in which you can intuitively follow your own inner compass.Types of help and learning opportunities

With his artist's eye, Waldo has designed the decoration of the buildings in a uniquely inspiring and surprising way. Once he starts talking about the cultural journeys he has made as an artist throughout his life, you will be hanging on his every word. He knows how to build and is very happy to pass on his knowledge in that area.
Eliane knows a thing or two about edible plants, baking sourdough bread, building bathrooms, laying tiles and enjoy playing board games.
If you are curious about sociocracy, threefold communication, connecting communication, anthroposophy, learning in freedom and democratic schools, I would be happy to tell you something about it.Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Help
We are the parents of four adult children and ten grandchildren who like to visit us during the school holidays. To be able to receive them and let them stay we could use help expanding the indoor tiny house with a kitchenette and shower. We are also looking for help to build the large open outdoor kitchen for them and a second tiny house on stilts.
To inspiring other people with our ecological activities, we are very happy with people with IT experience and social media experience.
We can also bake bread together, cook, garden and take care of the chickens and Bella the dog.Languages

I would like to practice my French so that conversations with more depth become easier for me. I can help you learn Dutch.Accommodation
The house itself has three bedrooms and an attic where guests can sleep. In the summer we mainly use the large open outdoor kitchen and open living room that have already been finished. You can also choose to sleep in a tent on the grounds behind the buildings. A fire can be made in the fire bowl to sit and chat or make music in the evening.
The meals are mainly vegetarian and organic.
Smoking is not allowed inside. We prefer workawayers who do not smoke or who smoke little and who use little or no alcohol or other drugsWhat else ...
Our place is located on the edge of a small village with about a hundred inhabitants in the north of France, an hour from the Belgian beaches and 45 minutes north of Reims. The village is surrounded by meadows and forests, no arable farming. There is a river within walking distance where you can swim and kayak. About ten stork couples have their nests near the river and you will be amazed at the many tracking species that fly around there.
There is no train station nearby. So if you don't have your own transport, you can use blablacar etc.A little more information
