FIRST OF ALL THANKS FOR YOUR INTEREST ON US BUT MIND THAT WE NEED REFERENCED PEOPLE. We also prefer the volunteer to stay only for one or two weeks. We are also not used to be asking others, all the time, to help us so the volunteers needs to be PROACTIVE and show his or her are really interest on helping...
We are a young family looking for a friendly hand on our daily tasks, specially with the kids, the cooking and the cleaning! We are also looking for Workawayers who know something about permaculture since we have a big yard and lots of ideas! A dry toilet, a clay oven and a vegetable mandala garden are waiting for the right person to begging the development of all. thanks
We work with lots of love in our own home artisan bakery and sell our products at the beach during summer on an adapted bike.
We make whole breads of natural fermentation, functional cakes, healthy snacks, mostly vegan or vegetarian.
P S.: We are not vegetarian but we are trying to change habits.
With the babies it's being hard for me to help my husband on our small bakery so I'm asking for Workawayers to come and help us overcome our house tasks... And also to taste our culinary delights, learn and teach us anything else you want to and enjoy to know this divine place where we live, of course! It will be a pleasure to welcome you here!
About us: My name is Ester, I'm 37 years old and I'm gaucha native of Porto Alegre. Together with my husband Maicon, 31, also from the southern part of Brasil - but more for a surfer than for a "gaudério" - we formed a beautiful family with two enlightened children (Kauê, almost 4 years old, and Mariá, a baby born in the middle of this year of 2018).
We also have in this family the illustrious presence of two cats (who insist on getting inside the house) and an educated and lovely little dog. They all sleep on the backyard and spend most of their time outside of the house.
Ah! And I almost forgot about Grandma Selma, my 80-year-old mother, who always comes to visit us and stays with our family for a long time, untill the summer goes by...
We love to travel, play, surf, chill at the beach, eat healthy and enjoy the nature.
If you do not speak Portuguese, I will notice you that I am the only one who speaks English and Spanish fluently in the house but my husband and older son only understand spanish and they even do good on that.
Not long ago we were traveling and volunteering in South America for a year and a half and now with the coming of the second baby we are living here and working with what we love - food and people - for a period until we have the opportunity to enjoy a new adventure.

We live in a small house, 50 meters from the sea, with no rooms available, but where you can see, hear and smell the Ocean! We are located right in the cradle of the Franca whale, the beautiful Imbituba, Santa Catarina. A wonderful place for lovers of surfing, nature and extreme sports. We are very close to beaches known worldwide for their natural beauty, such as the famous and trendy Praia do Rosa. Not to mention that we are also close to Florianópolis, Guarda do Embaú, Garopaba, Laguna and Farol de Santa Marta.
In addition you can enjoy or better know a type of healthy and functional bakery. Inclusive you can learn how to make our breads and cakes and take it to your life!!
We need help in many areas but basically it is playing with the kids, holding the baby, cleaning in general, cooking, planting, gardening, constructing anything simple, taking care of the animals...
We need someone responsible, respectful and PROACTIVE to help keeping the house clean and tidy. You have to like children and animals. And preferably someone who likes to cook and does not mind washing lots of dishes and pans.
If you choose to volunteer with us, you should keep in mind that the little ones require a lot of love, playfulness and patience, as well as someone who knows how to say NO and have a careful eye!
We will always want you to have a pleasant, relaxed and peaceful work and stay. So if anything bothers you we need to know (tell us!) so that way we can solve any question.
Português, Español, English
We have now moved to a new house really close to the Beach of Ribanceira, with NO rooms available. You would have to sleep on a tend on our yard. Our home is clean, sunny, airy, high-spirited, with wi-fi. Breakfast is included as part of the exchange for volunteering, including on your days off. The rest of the food will be provided if you work the maximum of hours, the days you do work (not on your free days), but I can not commit to cooking since good cookers and dishwashers are wanted and always welcome! You can also choose to work less hours and we will not provide all
the food, only breakfast or lunch... Let us know and we will try to get to an agreement. Also products left over from marketing on a daily basis may perhaps be consumed at times of outside work such as family outings, beach picnics, etc.
You can walk to different beaches, dunes, or to a big lagoon, or even go by bus to the center of Imbituba and from there take any other bus to several beaches, lakes, ponds or green valleys around. We are also nearby and you can or walk or get a ride to a big lagoon to fish, have a picnic or take a refreshing swim. We are in Ribanceira and near to the Canto da Vila, the peak of surf, sup, wind and kite-surf, and if you go souther there's the beach of Itapirubá, home to the ecological project of preservation and sighting of free whales and also an ideal place for bathing and surfing. If you like there is also a free flight ramp in the city antes sandsking next to muito house. We also have Uber and taxi if you want to do some laps at night, at your own risk, of course, hehehe. The house will be closed at late night but you can always knock if you need anything.
