Hi to all Plant and Art Lovers.
Offgrid project founded 2021
im julian from germany, 39 working mainly as a visual artist but alot in the garden too.
3 year ago i started this eco art project on a abandoned farming land in the riverbed of tablones near orgiva. Currently im looking for people who would like to stay during the autumn and winter month.
Taking care of the plants and being present on the land because i would like to travel a bit.
Since it takes time to explain everything and to get to know each other
I prefer if you stay longer than a month.
There is a 100sqm building on the land wich used to be goat stable and currently in renovation.
The main focus now is to establish a food forrest. I planted alot of trees last year, mainly fruit and im already harvesting the first veggies. This Project is noncomercial and we only produce food for our own consumption.
We dont have running water from the pipe but we do have aceica (ancient water ways) rights all year arround.
Stunning views of the mountains, much social possibilities and about an hour from the sea.
im searching 1-2 reliable and independent persons with a green thumb.
minimum stay 1 month but preferably longer if we get along well. Taking care of the Land includes Watering Plants, filling up containers/pool, removing of unwanted weeds, beeing present on the land. the land should not be left alone so communication is essential to be aware of who is present or not. parking your van or car is possible . There are several semi wild cats visiting us who need to be fed as well. from mid june onwards there is also camper available wich could be used by another guestworker.
The project is inspired by rainbow ideals specifically free from alcohol and meat consumption.
The Land is located in the riverbed of Tablones near ciggy and about 4km from orgiva.
many social possibilities arround. good road access.

Andalusia and especially orgiva are one of the hottest melting pots in europe.
Here arabs jews gypsies christians and flower children live in a striving alternative society.
There are the common tourist attractions like the beaches of the costa del sol/tropical (50km), the alhambra in granada (50km) Or the picasso musem in malaga (150km) But there are also alot of subcultural events arround the village wich will give you the possibiltie to meet alot of intresting people of all age.
Here in orgiva there alot of familys but also young and old travelers.
Somehow its all merging into a inspiring mix of an authentic alternative society.
Help
The Land is about 0,5 acres big and i just planted about 50 fruit trees
Wich need to be watered regulary among other plants in the garden (mainly artichokes).
Watering will be your main responsibility staying at my land.
Moving the water hose from plant to plant and keeping the waterways free from plants and earth.
Summer is harsh here so this is the main time i need help.
Sometimes i will ask you to help me with diy projects or work on the house.
I think 3 hours a day will do it.
At the moment the help will be building the workaway space in the fright-container together (2,x5x3m) so i can give a propper space to work awayers.
If you have strong building space you are more than welcome to come and help
And then stay in the container safe space.

Accommodation
You can pitch your tent or come with your van.
You can also put a hammok.
I just bought a container that i will use half as a storage space and half as accomodation space.
Then i can give workawayers their own little isolated space with bed and oven.
But this has to be built.
There is no tab water on the land. Drinking water i get once a week with car from a spring 4 km away.
The Land is surrounded by nice alternative neighbours and there are alot of social possibilities within walking distance.
Please notice that this project is non alcoholic and vegetarian.
Smokers are welcome but only outside please.
For now I will provide food on a unregular basis.
The Plan is to live of the Land but since i just started renovation, i can only invest limited energy into the garden. Thats where you come in. Once the Garden is settled there will be more than enough food.
What else ...
Orgiva walking distance about one hour. Public Busses from there to all Big Cities.
Walking Distance to the river 3 min but it might dry out in the late summer to november.
