Description
In an amazing farmstay in Nepal, about a three hours ride from Kathmandu, there's the most quiet and serene place
The Regmi family has owned this property for over 200 years. In 1937, late Captain Ramji Regmi (1912–2000) and his wife Mana Kumari Thapa Regmi (1922–2014), of Trishuli, came back and settled at Belkot. The farm faced challenges due to political changes.
The third generation of Regmis in 2019, the two sons revitalized the farm with a new approach.
The farm has 5 paid staff members and has beautiful gardens, hundreds of trees like mango, lychee, lemon, dragon fruit, banana, papaya and many more and also veggies like tomatoes, strawberry, beans, fields of millet and so much more, all grow under organic Practices to restore soil and water health, and guide local farmers and visitors to learn composting and waste management, using biodegradable products to restore soil nutrients
Our mission is to optimize the use of soil, water, and plants to enhance the productivity of agriculture, poultry, and livestock while maintaining environmental balance and teaching young ones who grow up in the city the basic knowledge of agriculture and understanding where fruits and vegetables come from and reconnect with the earth
This place is heaven on earth, detached from any touristic activities, offering a private or shared room (depending on the number of guests and volunteers) with the best private shower and three meals a day from our farm produce.
The place is well maintained but asking to be taken to the next level of knowledge in gardening and agriculture. If you have the knowledge and are willing to teach the locals, then you are very welcome!
We also ask to share our farmstay with the world, hosting here families, groups of friends or people that are looking for serenity and clean air with many options to explore and hike the nature around us. If you have knowledge in social media and professional promoting, we need you here.
Yoga teachers are also welcome as part of our effort to give the best hospitality experience to guests.
