    Welcome! We are a small estate and event venue located in a breathtakingly beautiful and touristic region. We sit right on the border between Guapimirim and Teresópolis—known as Brazil's capital of mountaineering. Our property offers a unique open yard with an unforgettable view of the iconic Serra dos Órgãos mountains, and on clear days, you can see all the way to Rio de Janeiro city and the Guanabara Bay!

    We run events here, but our historical main house requires constant maintenance, and we have an old barn that we want to transform into a living space. As the host, I can no longer handle everything alone and would love to welcome 1 or 2 volunteers to join this journey! We focus on finding eco-friendly solutions, minimizing our environmental impact, and applying permaculture and bioconstruction principles whenever possible. If you love nature, manual work, and cultural exchange, this is your place!

    Aunque funciona como casa de eventos, la casa principal es antigua y requiere mantenimiento constante. Además, tenemos un galpón que queremos transformar en vivienda. Ya no puedo cuidar de todo sola, por lo que busco 1 o 2 voluntarios.     Teresópolis is a beautiful and safe city—and a popular tourist destination—making it easy to meet people from all over. Plus, our property boasts what is surely the best view in the region.

    For nature lovers, we have a private trail leading to the top of the mountain right on the property, and a large park with a waterfall is just a 30-minute walk away.

    We can exchange knowledge regarding nature conservation and creative solutions, as well as languages ​​(I am fluent in Spanish but a beginner in English; I’d like to improve both, and I’d be happy to teach Portuguese).

    Finally, my mother is elderly and loves going to musical performances (which are frequent in the city) or simply having a good conversation (she is from Venezuela).

    Teresópolis es una ciudad bella y segura, por eso turística, lo que torna posible conocer gente de muchos lugares. Además, nuestra finca seguramente tiene la vista más bonita de la región.

    Para los amantes de la naturaleza, tenemos una trilla particular hasta el tope de la montaña que está dentro de la propiedad y, como a 30 minutos de caminata, hay un parque grande con cachoeira.

    En el trabajo podemos intercambiar conocimientos de cuidados con la naturaleza y soluciones creativas, así como de lenguajes (mi español es fluente, pero mi inglés es incipiente; me interesa mejorar los dos y puedo enseñar el portugués con gusto).

    Por fin, mi madre es anciana y le encanta salir a presentaciones de música (frecuentes en la ciudad) o tener una buena charla (es de Venezuela, habla "portuñol" e inglés).

    Barn Transformation: Helping redesign and rebuild our old barn into a rustic house.

    Eco-Mindset: We love sustainable solutions (like bioconstruction or planting), but this is a secondary option, not a full permaculture project.

    The place is very simple. It has a room, a bathroom, a kitchen, tools, workspace, and privacy (and we want to transform it into a comfortable home). There is internet access and a hot shower. Also, whenever you want some company, more comfort, to light the fireplace, or to watch a movie, you are welcome to use our living room (which also serves as a party room, since the building used to be a bar). We have a dog and a cat that generally stay in the main house. We are happy to share meals, but I need to share the cooking duties, too.

    El lugar es muy sencillo. Tiene un cuarto, un baño, una cocina, herramientas, espacio para trabajar y privacidad (el cual queremos transformar en una casa confortable). Hay internet y ducha caliente. Además, cuando desee compartir compañía, estar más cómodo, prender la chimenea o ver una película, podrá compartir nuestra sala (que es también el salón para fiestas), puesto que hace muchos años era un bar. Tenemos una perra y una gata que en general quedan en la casa principal. La comida puede ser alegremente compartida, pero necesito compartir también el preparo. :)
