Description
It is a starting permaculture project as well as future Shamanic Healing Center.
Founded by Shamim and Jan who are connected with their large tribe of alternative, nature related and consciousness awakening tribe in the Algarve, South of Portugal. We are located in Monchique Mountain, close to the Ocean easy to arrive.
The aim of this project is about relearn how to live in Harmony with the Nature and the Community.
Exploring the most efficient technics of eco building, farming and practicing the art of well being of a healthy and fruitful life in community.
Shamim and Jan have been for around 20 years holding ceremonies, retreats, circles, workshops in different wellbeing areas such as: shamanic practices, sacred feminine, breath work, music, dance, meditation and therapy. This work is being also anchored in the Center to serve the community.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
This project the main Hosts, Shamim and Jan, are both well integrated in the alternative cultural movements happening in the Algarve area. This includes retreats, feminine awaking, workshops, ceremonys and tribal getherings. At the spot there is also a diverse contibution of the volunteers, their backgrounds and life experiences to a cultural sharing. Many volunteers present at the project are portuguese, the main work coordinator has its roots in Mexico. And with the access to work away we expect as well to promote a internacional cultural sharing.

Help
At this early stage of the project the focus is based on the construction of the main building: This is a work where a many decades old ruin is being rebuilt using mainly clay and wood.
The help needed in the moment is to help building floor and walls in clay.
We welcome volunteers to participate in the eco building project situated at the feet of Monchique Mountain.
Here the volunteers can experience to work in a natural envoierment, building with natural materiais using advanced aproved and progressive bio construction techniques. Most of the construction is made of clay, the clay is of particular good quality in this region.
Also there's always work in the land to be done.
Another ongoing project is to reestablish an old water mine build by the Arabic People many centuries ago, as well as creating a Water Temple.

Accommodation
In the moment what we have accommodation available in containers and bell tents, with your own caravan, or camping.
We have hot indoor showers and panoramic compost toilet.
We give food for volunteers to cook to themselves, vegetarian mainly, we have a very nice full equipped kitchen for them to use. As they arrive we give a list of what we buy. Also we would like someone that would like to exchange the cooking for all.
What else ...
In the volunteers time off they can enjoy the community daily life in the land appreciating quietness and nature.
This land is located in the mountain of Monchique in the Algarve but also 20 mins away by car from several beautiful beaches. Also 2 kms from the land there's the famous Pizza Party every Friday, where volunteers can go walking and enjoy eating plenty of pizza, dancing in 3 different dance floors, as well as meeting many different people from all around that gather in this party every Friday.
Also the mountain of Monchique offers beautiful landscapes and scenarios to visit with some beautiful rivers and nature.
Also quite close you have two major cities in Algarve; Portimão and Lagos; where you have all the facilities needed and city entertainments.
