    Description

    Hi Workawayers!

We're James and Carolina, a couple in our 30s living in North York, Toronto, right next to the beautiful Earl Bales Park. We share our home with Bailey, our very playful Australian Shepherd who'll happily join you on walks or keep you company.

James has traveled a fair bit and speaks English, French, and Spanish. Carolina speaks Spanish, English, and a bit of German.

We are looking for someone to help us with our house. We're after someone hands-on and reliable who has genuine experience with basic home improvements, gardening, cleaning, or organizing, tell us specifically what you've worked on before. Comfort around a friendly, energetic dog is a big plus, since Bailey is very much part of the family. We also live with two roommates, both in their late 20s and 30s, and our house has a really cool, social vibe.

    What We Offer:
    - A private room to stay in, in our North York home
    - Food provided, and a relaxed, welcoming environment
    - Easy access to Earl Bales Park for hiking, skiing in winter, and green space right outside our door

Getting Around We don't provide a car, but you're welcome to use our e-bike to get around, and we're happy to give you a ride occasionally when needed. We're also well-connected by transit: a TTC bus stop is just 5 minutes away, and it's a 15–20 minute walk to the subway.

If you're interested in helping us bring some real care back into our home, and enjoy Toronto living, we'd love to hear from you! Let us know your availability, your relevant hands-on experience, and a bit about yourself.

Looking forward to meeting you! James & Carolina

  • Help

    Help

We could use help with small projects around the hourse like light repairs, painting, and simple improvements around the house, some gardening or home organization. Experience with basic tools is a plus but not required; enthusiasm and a willingness to learn go a long way. Basic carpentry or DIY skills are always a welcome bonus, especially if you enjoy building or creating things.

Since we share the home with two roommates, everyone pitches in to keep things clean and organized, everyday tasks like washing dishes, tidying the kitchen, vacuuming, and occasionally organizing shared spaces. We see it as part of living together, like a household routine that keeps things comfortable for everyone.

Yes, that's totally fine! We're happy to welcome a pet as long as they're well-behaved and won't cause any damage — and it'll be great company for Bailey too. Just let us know a bit about them (breed, age, temperament) so we can make sure everything's a good fit.
