Description
Join our family on a 740-hectare regenerative property in a beautiful valley of Queensland. We run around 400 cattle and love welcoming travellers who want to experience real Australian country life and share their own stories and culture.
Each day is different here. You might spend time in the garden, learn about growing vegetables and flowers, or help with projects around the home. It’s all about learning, sharing and being part of the rhythm of life in regional Australia.
Whilst any project or task we ask of Workawayers is in and around our home and garden and for our family, you are also always welcome to tag along and explore what farm life looks like if that interests you. This is an opportunity to explore our beautiful farm and see what farm life involves, not an expectation that you are participaing in any farm work tasks. We're keen to share what we know about regenerative farming, and look forward to enjoying meaningful exchanges about life and culture.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Farm life keeps us busy, so we see Workaway as a way to bring the world to us. We love learning from others, sharing what we know, and creating a sense of community and connection.
We enjoy hosting people who are building their English skills — we’re patient and love language and culture exchange.
Come share life with us and be part of our family for a while — we’d love to welcome you!
Help
We’re a friendly family of three who love welcoming visitors and sharing meals together. You’ll have your own comfortable guest area with ensuite, air-conditioning/heating and a large TV — a quiet space to unwind after a busy day. Wi-Fi is available (mobile reception is limited).
Our pets — two affectionate mini dachshunds and a cheeky cat named Tipi — love attention and quickly become part of the experience too!
We regularly travel to town (Gympie, 30 minutes away) and are happy to give lifts. You’re always welcome to join us on local outings or family activities — guests become part of our family while they’re here.
Singles, pairs or couples are welcome. We recommend a minimum two week stay so that visitors can get a feel for our every day life. Longer stays are possible as long as everyone is enjoying the initial experience. We're experienced hosts - our reviews will tell you that people have had a great time here and no doubt you will too!
Current projects we are working on around the garden and house:
- Reviving our vegetable garden
- Replanting summer flower gardens
- Refreshing the exterior of our home
Other tasks that are common include things such as:
- Garden tasks - weeding, mowing and planting
- Helping inside the home - general household cleaning, helping to prepare meals.
No skills or previous experience are necessary, just enthusiasm.
